Looks like a neat little set, but as I originally thought, I'm fine with the 6" Classic figures. All I would care about are the four turtles and, for me, they're still too similar to what Playmates made. I'm not really sure where you'd get these for retail, besides the Con, anyway.

I have the figurarts ones but I still want these ones too. I just wished people would move pass the 80s turtles and do other incarnations besides them. I hope SH Figuarts does other versions but the rumor has it they will move the old school movie ones too. Even though this cartoon set will be an SDCC exclusive, I will just go on Ebay again and save up for them.

This looks great to me and I think the price seems fair given that it's an exclusive, it comes in a old school collectors case and the amount of figures and accessories that come in it. This is the Shredder figure I always wanted. I might try to work some overtime and sell some more stuff on eBay so I don't feel so guilty for dropping $200 on toys. I hope these aren't too hard to get my hands on.

But...but the Figuarts Turtles alone cost more than this set of eight.

Sure, I think the Figuarts Turtles are cool as well, but for me at least, this set is much better value for what you get.

But hey, different strokes for different folks and all.

This set is amazing. I'm not into the Turtles, not since the 90's, but I'm tempted by this set.

Good thing it's a SDCC exclusive:

1) Very difficult for me to get (I'm in Canada)
2) Secondary market prices will be crazy
3) US-CDN exchange rate is equally crazy

All this helps my wallet make the decision not to get these Turtles.

Now, if NECA ever did their 1/4 scale movie Turtles in 7-inch scale... my wallet would be damned

So what other characters were in the games that NECA could first release pixelated and then in normal colors? I would love to see Bebop, Rocksteady, Splinter, Leatherhead, Baxter Fly, Ray Fillet, etc etc in this style, but have no idea who was even in the games.

I don't see them revisiting the games myself. But the bosses in the 1st arcade game included Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, Baxter Stockman (Human), Granitor and General Traag.

Baxterfly in the nes version, instead of both bebop and rocksteady guarding April.

Anyway, gonna get this, sell my comics figures.

Ah ok, thanks.

I was figuring that putting them out in game versions first was a good idea to help pacify Playmates AND get more mileage out of the molds. And assume that if they were to continue with making new molds, they'd do the same thing with them.

Regardless, I need to get this set somehow.

Yeah, but they'd didn't do NES versions of the figures, just arcade versions.

Wish they released them individually. $200 is a heavy price to drop in one sitting.

Agreed! The SH turtles would cost more than this set. Ugh

Not really. Plus, this set has Krang. I'd rather pay $250 to not have Krang.

The SH Turtles retail at $64.99 a piece minimum. So that would cost $260. This set is $60 less, and you would get 4 more figures and a collector case. So yes, really! lol

Sell Krang

The artwork may not look the same, but sucks?! I wish cartoons today looked half good as this! In fact, it's way more detailed and have nice cartoony look then the original 80's cartoon.

Glad to see that the edition size is 5,000. The Neca NYCC Exclusive Mirage Shredder and Foot Soldier pack was an edition size of 3,000, and a decent number of those were made available online (1,000?), so that gives me hope that I'll be able to snag one of these when they go live for preorder online. Just hope they limit it to one per person, two at the most.

Wow are they KOs or something? I've been waiting for them to go on sale on Amazon for a while and half of them haven't gone under $50 each.

edit. Well they said they're doing a clearance sale on the FB page when I tried looking them up. Screw it, ordered that set and a bunch of other stuff. We'll see if it shows up!
