I wonder if that Luke is the same as the medical frigate one we just saw. Hmm. Easy custom into Tatooine Luke from ANH!

I think it is and if so, wow....awesome looking figure! BUT the best one out of the wave has to be the Hoth trooper, dude comes with a small arsenal of goodies!

I'm not sure. I don't keep up too much with the SW figures themselves.

It is, just with a ton of extra guns. Well worth it, that is my favorite Luke figure.

I've wanted that one for a while, so I'm glad they chose to reissue it.

Gotta agree, that Luke figure is very slick. I like the Snowtrooper as well, but man do I hate the way Clone Wars figures look.

Jar Jar looks okay, for Jar Jar. Green Trooper is cool, like his new gun. Fisto looks good, but no knees = sad Split Lip. Again, new droid would've been better with knees, but I can accept in in battle droids as they're not exactly acrobats. Not digging these Legacy figs. More Original Trilogy junk, nothing cool. (Snowtrooper almost looks cool)

I'll get the way better Legacy version instead, the prototype of which was unveiled a couple of days ago. Now THAT's the Kit Fisto I've always wanted.

I want the SnowTrooper as I missed out on the VOTC one and this one is cheaper than the VOTC but with tons of guns. I rip everything out of package so while I think the resealable VOTC cases are neat, ultimately a reissued figure that ends up more affordable is more appealing to me.

Yeah, he is pretty cool looking. At least he looks like he may have knees. Shame it took so long to get a decent Fisto figure.

But as cool as the new Legacy Fisto is, I still like the look of the CW version, but KNEES, Hasbro! No, not just knees, knees and ANKLES! You did it to Skywalker!

No kidding.

It kinda honks me off, though. There have been a TON of former VOTC and exclusive figures that have since become recent regular Basic releases. Boba Fett, Utapau Shadow Trooper, Covert Ops Trooper, Stealth Stormtrooper, and Kir Kanos/Carnor Jax 2-pack... and now X-Wing Luke and Snowtrooper. And I bought ALL of those at their initial releases.

Hope Hasbro doesn't start pulling that crap with TFs.

I understand the anger my man! That pisses me off to no end. I feel that if it,s an exclusive then leave it alone! That is the one thing that bothers me with SW. I have spent thousands on this line and Hasbro is re-releasing everything that had some sort of value. I know that value is minor but I do like having a few things that are special you know.

It's not necessarily the "value" of the figures that upsets me. I don't ever plan on selling.

What bothers me is the fact that I spent anywhere from $9.99 to $14.99 each for the figures, and they proceed to reoffer the same ones shortly thereafter at the $6.99 price point. Since they've done it so many times now, I see no reason to buy future Star Wars "exclusives" early on -- if I wait, I'll be able to get them cheaper at regular retail. And if they ever decide to put out more "Vintage style" figures, I won't be touching them.

The price point is now $7.99. Plus the VOTC came with star cases. So really not much difference.
Look at 4-LOM. Rebelscum.com: Star Wars The 30th Anniversary Collection Photo Archives He has the same articulation as some 'vintage style' figures. All he would need is the card & case.
I've had it with no knees, elbows, etc. I'm pretty much just getting any figures that fit the 'vintage style' articulation. I skip all the rest.

Yeah, I know. But I can still get Legacy and Saga Legends for $6.94 at my W*M. (Not sure how much longer that'll last.) Also, VOTC Boba and the formerly-exclusive Clone Troopers were rereleased on Basic cards long before the MSRP went up. And I couldn't really give half a crap about star cases, but feel I "should" keep them simply because I paid extra for them.

So I was browsing one of my usual sites, Rebulscum, when I found this story.

Here's what caught me:

Quote:
The Clone Wars
Wave 6
ARC Trooper
Super Battle Droid Sergant
Mace Windu
Admiral Yularen
Jawa 2-pack
Commander Gree

Vehicles
ARC 170 Fighter
Y-Wing Fighter (The Clone Wars)
Remote-Controlled Electronic Republic Gunship
Turbo Tank (Republic Juggernaut)

Unscheduled Figures
Clone Officer
Captain Fordo
Quinlain Vos
ATA Clone Trooper
LaVonde
Droid Commando
Echo
Senate Guard
Whoo! I'm so happy for Gree, he's one of my favourite Clone Commanders, if not my favourite. I could only be more excited if they said they were making a CW Shaak Ti. (well, combined with the news of a TFU Shaak Ti, I'd overload and have to high-five my cat again) I'm glad they're making a fig of Echo, maybe it mean's he'll return?

But, does this mean Quinlain Vos will be in the Clone Wars cartoon? Lots of stuff for discussion.

Oh boy!
Another Snow Trooper.
With more extra weapons.
We haven't really gotten a realitively (bad spelling :/) new clone lately.

I find it ironic that Luke and the Snowtrooper come with all those guns and can't hit sh*t with any of them.

Still, I would be interested in them if I hadn't decided to cut back on my collecting and SW was one of the first lines to get the axe.
