Did anyone ever see the figures based on the 2nd Indy film (the prequel with Shorty) in stores?

I saw them on line but never saw them in the stores.

I saw a few once at TRU. Temple guard, Temple head guard, the villian guy, and the female lead.

Same here.

lars, good for you - I never saw them in there either.

In fact the only place I ever saw the figures from the 3rd film with Sean Connery in it (The Last Crusade) was in K-Mart.

I wanted those figures so badly, from Temple of Doom. To my understanding, due to the poor sales of the other Indy figures, the Temple of Doom figures were never widely released at retail. The main way to get them was to order them from online stores, such as Ent. Earth and Hasbro Toy Shop. I ended up having to go Ebay since I found out too late. lars573, you are lucky indeed to have seen these in stores. Did you happen to buy any?

The Temple of Doom figures are my personal favorites from the whole Indy line.

My local TRUs still have the temple guard, but I never saw anything past that or crystal skull.

I was really hoping I could get my hands on a his pops too, to go with his son for all 3 generations.

Yeah I agree with you, I saw they were going to release that line in an ad & thought it was just a matter of time before they'd show up @ Wal-Mart, etc. It never happened.

Nice find! I found all of the Last Crusade figures at Ross or Marshalls. Raiders of the Last Ark I got on clearance at TRU! I've been buying $5.00 Jungle Cutters, Troop cars and Cargo Trucks at Big Lots. I've got two of each. I really lucked out and got all my Indy stuff on clearance, except for Temple of Doom. Had to eBay that stuff.

I didn't start buying the Indiana Jones Line until they went to $1 clearance at Wal-Mart. I picked up the vehicles and Holy Grail wave at K-Mart, and I still haven't found the Temple of Doom wave. I was hoping a few would show up at Big Lots or ToysRus, but it looks like I need to hit eBay soon.

I got my whole TOD set from BBTS. NEVER saw them in stores, hell I only saw indys dad twice. If they hadn't made a ridiculous amount of the initial figures this line would have done much better. Did we really need 6 to 7 different indy's? Shot themselves in the foot they did.
