It's Official! Sony Pictures announced this guy as their new Spidey! Scheduled release of the new movie is July 3 2012.

He's actually a very good actor. Not very excited about this reboot, but at least they have a quality lead actor.

^ YES! Iron Man 2-quality Spider-Man figures would be great indeed! We just have to wait about 2 years before we get it though.

Come to think of it, with Marvel's intended schedule of releasing two movies a year, and possibly some lower budget/short films as well, Hasbro's going to be very busy putting out the corresponding toy lines. And collector's are going to be constantly broke!!

For real, think about it. What if we did get about two completely new toy lines based on Marvel movies per year, in addition to the regular Marvel Universe line.

EDIT: Ooh, he's in the movie about Facebook that Trent Reznor is scoring... I can't wait for that movie either. Here's hoping the Lizard is in the Spidey-reboot!

My wife and I just watched him in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus tonight. We think he'll do a pretty good job.

I know I'm going to go see it regardless of who is in it, but I have no problems with this choice. He does kind of look the part. We'll see how it goes.
