New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toys by Playmates
Wow! Very pleasantly surprised with both the standard action figures and the "Shellraiser". I am much more optimistic about this series and the toyline now! |

Wow. Not too bad. That turtle lair/playset thing looks massive. I'll check them out once they hit.

These happy me! I love the new designs... sort of a more cartoony/cutesy version of Eastman & Laird's original art.
The detail on them is amazing, yet simple at the same time. I also really like how they did the knee joints. Too bad they couldn't work the same magic on the elbows. My personal hopes are that these are 3"-4" in scale, unlike the last go at TMNT toys.

These look awesome! Really hope the articulation's good on 'em. That Turtle lair is gonna cost a LOT though...
Want the vehicles! Here's hoping they do a Turtle Blimp too.

I honestly didn't even know there was a new show in the works. The designs of the turtles themselves looks really good, as does the party van.
I'll most likely at least get the Donatello figure, but depending on the price of them, I might go ahead and get the whole team. If the gimmicky figures are cheap enough I might get one or two for my nephew, but barring that they're easy passes. Should be interesting to see how Shredder looks. The foot ninja on the bike isn't bad. Hopefully the turtles aren't the only one's given articulated figures. Would be nice to have a Shredder and a couple foot ninjas to go with them. Edit: Just noticed Shredder in the picture of the lair. Looks like his design is pretty good too. Also, looked up some info on the show...I'll give it a chance, but I doubt I'll enjoy it.

Oh man. I didn't want to buy ANOTHER toy line. But some of those look pretty nice, especially considering it's Playmates putting them out.

I am digging them. A nice 4 set will do the shelves well I think.

the others (with poorer accessories) are deluxe with sounds and are slightly larger. I never got a chance to get the NECA turtles back ijn '70 or '08 (forget exactly when they were out) -- and now they're even further beyond my reach -- but I would get this team, expecting it to be around the $10 a figure range. I have mixed feelings about these. The shellraiser is indeed awesome, but I'm going back forth on the figures. They have good detail, their weapons look much better, but they look short and stocky. Maybe I'll come around once I see in package pics.

Fixed the Sewer Playset image. Don't know why it was so bright.

OMG the classics line look so much better to me. I'm more of a classics guy anyway. Definitely will be picking them up.
And if you look at the playset pic, you can see shredder, splinter, and I guess April is going to be a 12 year old girl. I hope Casey is either not in this, or the appropriate age, otherwise that will be weird. |

I totally missed the classics stuff earlier. Thanks for catching that!
Honestly like the regular action figures from the main line better. I never thought I would say that, but the classics ones just look...off to me for some reason. Hopefully they look better in person. |
