I actually prefer the look of the basic (non-kiddy) line to the Classics, however the articulation on the classics looks great! If they did Beebop and Rocksteady that would be far too tempting for yet another collector who doesn't want to start another line...

I'm concerned for the cartoon based on the style of April, she reminds me too much of that weird little girl (you know, the one that looked like a cabbage patch kid) from the recent Transformers Animated cartoon, which I was not impressed with...

I have Neca Raphael on my shelf, he's been a permanent fixture since I bought him.

I want just the Classic line. With them, I will no longer have the need to hunt down the retro ones MOC...

Downfall is... I have to buy 2 of each, 1 to open and one to leave MOC.. They look sooooo SICK!!

Any word on when they are coming out? This year? Next year?

Oh, please no. I was right there with you until that last one.

*snip*

They're even on plastic sprues, like in the old days.

Going off of the videos, it actually looks like the Classic Mike will be the one who gets paint and chains on his weaons.
I wonder if they just used the Classics weapon in the promo shots of the regular version from the new series? Besides, as someone else mentioned, it shouldn't be too hard to switch it out with a real chain later.

Considering the size difference between the new show's figures and the Classics figures, I don't think that's the case. Also, if you compare the nunchucks, they are clearly not the same.

I hope so, but I'm not really counting on that being easy atm. We'll have to wait and see.

Top 3 favorite characters/figures from the original show were Usagi Yojimbo, Panda Khan, and Metalhead. Here's hoping at least one of those gets the classic boot.

I think Venus has merrits... but not the godaweful way she was originally intended for. A completely new and independent new origin for her, new personality and characterization.
Hell, maybe not even a completely new origin, just make her independent, and not maincast.
A good writer can turn almost anything around.

I always forget Miyamoto Usagi has a connection to the TMNT. Yes, I would very much love an accurate update for him!
Hell, forget that... I want an all new toyline! His previous one never showed up in my area.

I'd love these figures. Thing is......no thing at all. When I see them I'm going to get them even though I have never owned a single Ninja Turtle

No wait, I lied, I did have these robot looking ones or something. I don't know but I remember it being Ninja Turtles. If anyone knows wtf I am talking about, post pictures/share the toyline!

I would love all three of those to get updates, but Usagi tops the list. Followed closely by Metalhead.

If she is brought into the new series, I sincerely hope the writers take your advice.

Same, not to mention it was hard to get since it was rare. I happily own one along with some of my other rare finds like Monty Moose and Doctor El. Anyone catch the TV movie they aired a few years ago where the 1980s characters met the modern characters and the Mirage comic characters? So good and great in-jokes.

Towards the end they were pumping out some weird figures and sub-lines. I think they were just called "Robotic Leonardo" and so on. That's all I remember.

The new show starts in the fall, so I would think it safe to assume that both the modern and classic lines will start within a month of the show starting. Meaning I'll probably be spending some of my birthday money this year on some turtles.

I've got most of the line. Towards the end, they basically stopped trying, and became nothing but endless turtle variants. I eventually stopped collecting the turtle variants. And I think the only non-turtles I never bothered to pick up, were the cat burgler, and the dalmation firefighter (Which I now know to be the two most expensive figures in the line)

I did see the Turtles Forever movie. And I'll admit I didn't understand the humor of it until the very end, when they visited the Turtles Prime. Then everything clicked into place and I loved it. (Until then, I jkept thinking "Oh come on! I know the original cartoon was bad, but it wasn't *THAT* bad! Shreder and Krang were at least mildly competent!")
Then I figured out they were poking fun at *everything.*

wow...i think i will be picking a few of these up at some point. however with my DC/Marvel/StarWars/MOTUC/GiJoe collecting draining me of money and space, I will only be picking up my favorite characters in this line.
That Sewer play-set is AWESOME!

I wish they were out this month, but it's probably better that they're not, given sdcc is next week...
