Yeah I saw this right before I left for work today.
It could use a few more points of articulation, but I'm loving how it looks so far! I also wasn't aware that they were gonna be the same size as the original Turtles figures, nice little surprise there. The hard part is gonna be resisting the urge to buy these things though, I really can't afford to start buying another line. |

Well i did some googling and it says here:
Ninja Pizza | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles News & Information that the first wave of figures and vehicles are scheduled for August!!! YAY!!! And they have a $7-$9 pricetag!! Theres also mention of an SDCC exclusive figure!! i was thinking the exact same about the inkwash....keep it simple, but effective!! If you look at the groupshot in the link i posted you can see the height/colour differences they have used to make each turtle individual, they could have cheaped out and just used the same body four times with four different heads,in four different colours but they didnt. Gotta pay respect for that attention to detail!!! Yeah try the tape out let me know your thoughts,i had one of those "i wonder if" moments and it works pretty well!!!

Pretty much yeah. That's the exact impression you're giving, whether intentional or unintentional. You're borderline "Ruined Forever" territory.
I'm not lying or slandering, you're pretty over the top and extremely bent out of shape over a children's cartoon that hasn't even been made yet. Apparently I do need a diagram, because I see absolutely no problems with what's going on. I dislike the fact that it's CG, which is an extremely limited medium. But as for using Shredder as Shredder, having the turtles be the turtles, and finding a way to make April a far more relevent addition to the group, seems extremely appropriate to me. And again, how do you know the writing for this is going to be as pathetic and horrible as you proclaim? The show is not yet written. Unless you've been to the future, you know as little as we do about their plans. As we've seen are a few still shots Rediculous overreactions by a grown man against children's programming that does not yet exist that he knows nothing about doesn't really merrit being taken that seriously. Really. Seven posts and all you've done is bitch and whine about how horrible this show will be to the fandom. Besides, what you interperate as sarcasm was intended more of as a joke to highlight the inherent humor in it all. The only possible way you could know how pathetic this reboot is, is if you've already seen it. "Apparently I do need a diagram, because I see absolutely no problems with what's going on. I dislike the fact that it's CG, which is an extremely limited medium." It's my right to bitch if I want to, and you don't need to clarify any points. Get off my back, I wasn't talking to you, you brought this conversation to light. You are lying claiming that I think exactly as it "is the most horrible thing that ever existed"- you're going waaaaaaaay over the top right there; I've never said that, ever; pretty much, yeah, kinda, maybe, isn't YES and anyone can tell you that those are not DEFINITE. I never, ever, insinuated that- ever. There are things far worse than a crappy reboot. And let's take a look here: "Rediculous overreactions by a grown man against children's programming that does not yet exist that he knows nothing about doesn't really merrit being taken that seriously. Really. Seven posts and all you've done is bitch and whine about how horrible this show will be to the fandom. Besides, what you interperate as sarcasm was intended more of as a joke to highlight the inherent humor in it all. The only possible way you could know how pathetic this reboot is, is if you've already seen it." Sorry I forgot to laugh. All you've done is support, from which crimes have either of us committed? I respect your right to support it, but why are you trying to deny my right of being against it when you have no right to? Are you an admin? Are you a moderator? Am I breaking a rule? Or do I offend thee? I also happened to be monitoring the development of the new TMNT series reboot since they shut it down, and ever since Nick took over, this is poor workmanship and an insult to the TMNT saga. And really, claiming 'I know nothing about it' is absolutely ridiculous- why do you think I'm here? You have no idea who I am, you have no idea what I do, what is your problem? If you can't accept diverse opinions, then this isn't the forum for you; respect another opinion as yours is also respected equally. I happen to know, just by looking at the base of the reboot, the design of the turtles, the design of the Shredder, the design of Krang, the comically orientated material in general is just for the kiddies and nothing that would make the crowds go wild. This is a failed reboot, already, I've been a fan for years; TMNT is losing all of its charisma. That is my stance, you don't like it, ignore me and move on. I've said nowhere that I think the show is going to be good or bad. Come back after you've watched the first season, or at least one episode, and I'll respect your right to claim this show is a failier as a reboot. At this stage, it's one thing to say "I'm looking forward to this," "I'm hopeful about this," or "I don't think I like the sound of this," or "I'm not fond of how this is shaping up." It's quite another to go around saying Turtles are uined forever, by a show that hasn't been made yet. Quote:

That is my stance, you don't like it, ignore me and move on. Yet I'm the one who brings this all up? You spent seven or eight posts doing nothing but critisizing those who're looking forward to it, and trashing it that it's the worst thing to happen to the franchise. At this stage, it's one thing to say "I'm looking forward to this," "I'm hopeful about this," or "I don't think I like the sound of this," or "I'm not fond of how this is shaping up." It's quite another to go around saying Turtles are ruined forever, by a show that hasn't been made yet. Personally, I feel that the 2003 series was pretty terrible. Voice acting was terrible, writing was bland, and the toyline was full of things that really didn't have much relevence to the themes of the franchise. Shredder, I felt was a very boring design, and I couldn't stand how he was portrayed. So it's different strokes for different folks. That's what you probably grew up on, and I've not bashed it to you once. But keep perspective. Not everyone loves what you love, and not everyone will hate what you hate. You tell us to accept that you hate it, you need to also accept others here are excited for it. Move on to a different subject.

Opinions lose value when the person giving them has zero experience with the subject matter. In this situation, it's impossible to say a show is excellent, or fails when you've never even seen it. You don't think it's going to be good? Then say that. The point is, you don't know, yet you speak in definates. I've said nowhere that I think the show is going to be good or bad. Your ability to predict the future is truely astonishing! And this is where you prove yourself hypocritical. You keep saying you've never said how aweful this show is, and then in the same breath, you say how aweful this show is. All you've done is moaned and whined how TMNT is losing everything because of this new show, which no one knows anything about yet. Yet I'm the one who brings this all up? You spent seven or eight posts doing nothing but critisizing those who're looking forward to it, and trashing it that it's the worst thing to happen to the franchise. And are those Metalhead and Leatherhead?!? OMG, YES!!!! And is that dog creature Razar?? This line is soooo much better than the last TMNT series! Looks like we're back to the over-the-top silly mutants, instead of all the superheroes, oriental mystics, and virtualform stuff from the last line. Bring on Wingnut and Screwloose!" Erm, positive outlook on the situation intimates that you "think" this is good. Wait, who says I have zero experience on this subject matter? My opinion/stance has lost value just because you think it doesn't have any credible point on this subject? "And this is where you prove yourself hypocritical. NO I have never ever said I think that this is "the worst thing ever" as you intimated, I am saying it's bad- really really bad. You are moaning and WHINING about my stance here! Grow up and have the guts to accept diversity; screw your over-demanding input. You have no right to act like this nor do you have any right to screw with me; get off my back princess. Good. While I was happy that I thought it was a nod to Razar, I really didn't like the design for him. Much happier that it's a new character.

I am an original fan, from the black and white days. I was a fan till I guess around the time the 3rd movie was out.
I have to say all of this line is very exciting. When you take a franchise too far away from the core of what made it great to begin with then you really lose something. This seems to be bringing the franchise back in line with what made it great in the first place, and I'll for sure be getting the main line small figs to go with my MU and GI Joe etc. And SaitoNetwork; I have to say you seem pretty insane. First off, you have to understand that when you make an internet post voicing an opinion, people can and will respond to it freely. You can't simply say people are "screwing with you" and demand which posts they do or do not participate in; toughen up. Sheesh. Secondly, you really did come in here decrying the death of the line before the show is even ready to air. You claim that your insight provides forehand knowledge of the failure of this line, yet did you happen to notice you are the ONLY PERSON in this entire thread that doesn't think this looks like a good direction? 5 pages and you are the only negative person here. Don't like the CGI? Fine. Don't like the art direction? Fine. Get a little perspective. Your main issue seems to be that they are relaunching the story, you seem to expect that the story would continue from the 80s and now the Turtles would be adults, and that the show would also be for adults; the original fans. Really? You REALLY think that would ever happen? A major relaunch of a massive property based around a cartoon and a toy line, and you want the companies involved to target it to people who are over 25? How many of those people do you think buy toys? You demand people respect your opinion, but I can't, because it has no basis in reality. An opinion shouldn't be respected just because it's an opinion; you have to actually back it up. So far you've said you know the show is bad and is doomed when you haven't SEEN it or read a review, and that you expect the franchise to be a direct continuation based on adult turtles targeted at the original fans. I'm sure you can understand how one might not respect those opinions. Were you also upset that the new Strawberry Shortcake wasn't a line of 25 year olds? Strawberry Shortcake, the reality show 2012.

Trying to get back on track:
Dogpound is good. New characters are good, and I will always welcome them if they speak to me. I love the fishguy. But, with Metalhead and Leatherneck both getting surprise updates, I've got high hopes for others. As mentioned by many, Wingnut & Screwloose. Would also love to see Ray Fillet, Slash, and Mondo Gecko added at a future time. Tokka and Rahzar, Rocksteady and Bebop would also be awesome. But mostly, I would kill to see Ninjara and Armaggon.

Sakai, and Eastmen and Laird were apparently friends, and had several crossovers, which then extended to the original cartoon and toyline, where most fans are familier with him from. (And my introduction to the character, too) He's had his own small toyline sold to specialty shops about ten years ago, as well as a few statues. Usagi Yojimbo is one of my favorite comics. It's set in fuedal japan, using anthropomorphic characters. Also had a limited series spinoff set in the future, called Space Usagi. Sort of Star Wars with samurai bunnies in space. Which is the origin of *that* toy, too. EDIT: Usagi Yojimbo

yeah i would freakin love a newly realized version. they made one for the 2003 toyline as well but never got around to watching that version or buying any of the figures. i have high hopes he may show up in this new one though. weird that i couldn't get into the 2003 version, loved the cg movie but didn't buy any of the toys, but now i'm really all set to see tmnt back in action and collect a few. prolly helps that the toys have a bit more love put into em. *thumbs up*

I just looked up a gallery of the old school TMNT figs, I didn't realize how many of those I had...wow. Looks like I had pretty much everyone from 1990 and prior.
I loved Triceraton, Wingnut & Screwloose and Casey Jones so I'll vote for those, but I'll always have fond memories of Shredder's original mutant cohorts, Bebop and Rocksteady. I'll admit some of the CGI looks a little odd but man those figs look too sweet.
