Welcome to the Ark.

DC Collectibles (formerly DC Direct) releases numerous statues, busts, and figures at various scales. They have a good archive on their website to see their entire product line. Most of their line would be very hard to confuse with any 1/6 Hot Toys figure. Though sculpting can be very high quality, articulation is usually somewhat limited on these figures. Even their poseable figures can be criticized since their poseabilty can be very limited. You can search their product line here: Collectibles| DC Comics | Statues, Action Figures, Props, Replicas and More (Browse "All" to see 73 pages of product, sorted alphabetically)

Hot Toys specializes in 1/6 scale fully articulated figures with a few 1/4 scale specials. They also have some vehicles, busts, and a few super-deformed figs, but these are minimal in comparison to their 1/6 offerings. They usually specialize in movie-accurate figures with "human" detail replicating real actors or live action movie characters, rather than comic or artistic interpretations. These are generalizations, but they truly can be difficult to confuse one for the other. You can search their product line here: Hot Toys

Can anyone tell me what a dc direct 1:6 figure costs ?

Thanks
hello welcome to the ark ,
If your into DC mostly hot toys do them although i think mainly superman and batman but if your into classic look then dc direct is good.
to find prices just type in ebay gets you an average and depends on how rare the figure is as well as the condition , there is a DC forum , you can ask there im sure they will have most of your answers

ebay ...
This is UK version http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_od...1%3A6&_sacat=0

This is US version http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

Find a local comic book store or action figure store , online eBay - although careful there make sure mint in condition not out of box , comic book stores etc might have them plus you could haggle them down , i remember i think my 12inch movie version of daredevil (think was marvel movie studios) i got it haggled down by £10 ( but had to wait a week) cause i think i was £50 and got it for £40 which i thought was alright.
i think threes BBST or something like that :S , past generation toys perhaps , just google it
