Found the new vintage-style Star Wars 3-packs at the Super Target at Triangle Town Center this week. They had two sets...Droids (w/R5-D4, Death Star Droid and Power Droid) and Villains (w/Tusken Raider, Boba Fett and Snaggletooth. $24.99 each. Also got a good look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stuff at that Target as well.

The Kmart on Capital Blvd has the Green Lantern Test Pilot Pack with Hal and Martin Jordan for $.99. I know, but it's $.99!

I want that villains set, mainly for the Snaggletooth, but will have to hold off. Glad to see they are hitting around this area though..maybe they will hang on until I have more expendable income.

I was able to get April, Krang, and the Foot Soldier there yesterday. TMNT will be a brief aside for me, as I rarely make a non-Transformer purchase. These are too cool, though

Well after a bit of a lull, found more than i really needed. Saw full displays of TMNT merch. at both Durham Targets. Southpoint Target had the new Halo Micro Ops figures. They also had an awesome 6" scale ODST Drop Pod with Rookie figure and a Halo 4 Target Exclusive Five figure boxed set. I picked up the Halo 4 Master Chiel in UNSC Cryotube Box Set. SciFi Genre in Durham had the new Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Minimates and the new Marvel Universe Comic Packs. They also had an almost complete set of Marvel Legends series 2 with the HTF Big Time Spidey.

Marvel Legends figures are still appearing at Targets. I saw a Hope, Thor, Drax, Constrictor and Iron Man in red and gold at the Southpoint Target in Durham. The Thor is already gone this morning.

Target at Morrisvile. Found the Playmates Teenage mutant ninja turtles 2012 figures (1 krang, 2 foot soldiers, 1 april oneal, 1 splinter, think 3 each of the Turtles) got myself just the 4 turtles. there is also the sound fx turtles, the vehicles. NO Retro Classics TMNT though. 6" scale ODST Drop Pod with Rookie figure and a Halo 4 Target Exclusive Five figure boxed set. Marvel legends (Iron Man, Klaw, bucky cap, draax). Marvel universe alot of Apocalypse. no new waves of mu's. With star wars just the vintage star wars 3-pack X3 Droids (w/R5-D4, Death Star Droid and Power Droid) and x1 Villains (w/Tusken Raider, Boba Fett and Snaggletooth). No Hotwheels though (looking for that scooby doo mystery machine.) Good luck fellow NC Collectors. tc!

-Today I saw my first Wal-Mart exclusive ML Avengers figure that is NOT Iron Man/Captain America! It was Loki, but I got him. Has anyone had ANY luck finding these? I feel it's pointless for Wal-Mart to have an exclusive set if they NEVER have them! Found in Wake Forest Wal-Mart
-Also found the chunky new Batman Figures Power Attack Dual Destruction Two-Face (Lava Mission) today, first sighting of him too, and couldn't resist. I am not into this line, but this particular figure looks very sharp. Found in Wake Forest Target.
-nothing else amazing around, although at Wal-Mart they had some interesting $14.99 cars from some anime looking series? with a card sliding slot that makes them go (?) but, useless kid oriented gimic aside, the vehicles looked really cool, and almost the size of MASK vehicles (but 2/3 size, really). I'd buy them if they were $5 (I know the money is paying for the gimic). Not sure what the name of the line was, it was clearly aimed at the Bakugan/Beyblades crowd. I just wanted to see if the vehicle converted ala MASK or had some snap-on weapons, but none that i could see.

Saw the 3 3/4-inch (1:18 scale) 1966 Remote Control Batmobile from Hot Wheels at the Toys R Us in Cary today. It's actually pretty sweet. It was $39.99 and they had several (three or four I think) on the Hot Wheels aisle.

I actually picked up a Hulk from the Wake Forest Walmart on Monday, and I got two more Hulks and two Hawkeyes there this afternoon. I think there were two Thors left on the shelf, so if you're looking for that figure it should be available.

Looks like some Walmarts are getting in 2 boxes of 8 figures each of the 6" Avengers series. I keep arriving in stores when they have not been unboxed yet.

The Avengers Chitauri chariot packs are out. I've seen a couple at Walmart and Target at Brier Creek. I picked up 2 at Target (where they are cheaper), one for myself and another for a friend. But the figure has gotten some bad reviews because of the lack of articulation.

I just found the Star Wars Wave 14 figures at the Suncoast at Cary Mall today on both the traditional vintage-style card as well as the new retro "lost artwork" cards. They had one set of each (Jar Jar, Clone Trooper Lieutenant, Shock Trooper, Sandtrooper, Bespin Leia and Darth Vader with Emperor's lightning). I bought the vintage-style set but left the retro set. They're $10.99 each but I've actually found a pretty good selection there recently and the stuff is usually in really mint condition (the vintage set I got today was even unpunched for the most part).

I finally found a Hawkeye 6" Avengers figure on Friday, and bought him at Durham Wal-Mart. I saw another one somewhere in Wake County on Saturday, left him, but they ARE starting to show up finally.
ALSO, I found COMIC COLORED Sentinels at ROSS on Saturday for $24.99. If you are looking, they are no longer at the White Oak Garner location, but check other ROSS stores.
The Glenwood Wal-Mart in Raleigh near Crabtree has those chunky Batman figures on clearance for $5, but I could only find Twin Blade (blue/gray) and the red lava fighter Batman figures, no villains.
At Wake Forest Target I found a Mr. Freeze in the new chunky line of Batman figures. He was too cool to leave on the pegs. The villains are really cool looking so far in this line: Two Face and Mr Freeze being the two I have purchased and have seen. Killer Croc looks kindof cool, but I think it's the way he's packed that makes him look bad.

I found the Kmart exclusive Star Wars vintage-style Scout Walker at the Kmart in Wilmington Saturday. They had three, I bought one. I also saw the 6" Hawkeye at the Walmart at Triangle Town Center Saturday night.

I cheated. I just received the Marvel Legends 2012 Series 3 figures from BBTS. I figured that with the cost of gas and all the places to go, just ordering them would be about the same price. I have always said that patience is the best thing to have when trying to collect. I have just been too impatient lately. I found it hard to get the Wal-Mart Avengers figures, so I got them off eBay. I did get them from the guy locally. Since then I have seen most of them, but only once have I had the chance to actually purchase the Hulk figure. Then the Marvel legends figures, well, they have been up and down. I will search for the Variants. The figures that I got were the Punisher, Neo Classic Iron Man, Green/Silver Dr. Doom, Mystique, US Agent and X-Force Grey Deadpool. I will be looking for Blade, Moonstar, Dr. Doom and Deadpool. I do know that I am not visiting as many places. I’m down to once a week visits to the two Toysrus, Apex and Morrisville Wal-Mart’s. I visit the Wal-Mart’s in HS and Fuquay, maybe every other week.

Well, Friday I went to the Walmarts in Fuquay, Holly Springs and Apex with no luck. This morning i went to the Walmart on MLK in Durham, then finally at the Walmart in Morrisville i picked up the new Walmart Exclusive 6" Spiderman Figures. They were not on pegs, but on the shelf, almost didn't see them. There were two Ultimate Spidey's (Miles), two Lizard's and about three or four movie Spidey's. Of course i got one set. Pretty awesome looking, very similar to the Avengers figs.

I believe it's 9-4 tomorrow, and 10-4 on Sunday, in the Kerr Scott building. I'll actually be setting up at the show with a lot of Star Wars toys and a few GI Joe items for sale.
