Sorry this is a bit late, but if anyone is looking for Star Wars Black Series figures, and really Star Wars in general, the Disney Store at Crabtree Valley Mall is a good place to look. Two weekends ago they had the largest Star Wars section I've seen at retail anywhere locally in a very long time. They had probably 16 pegs full of 3.75-inch Black Series figures (everything out up to this point I believe except for Darth Plagueis) and 4-6 of each character with more stock in the back. It was a great opportunity to pick out the figures with the best paint apps. They're one dollar more than everywhere else though ($10.99 or maybe $10.75 instead of $9.99). They also had vehicles and a lot of other Star Wars items as well.

I made what I thought was a pretty big discovery at the Five Below in Apex yesterday. They had several pegs jammed full of GI Joe: Retaliation figures, including...the yellow and black Kim Arashikagi figure AND Blind Master. They had several of each, plus a good variety of other characters (Joe Colton, Roadblock, Data Viper, Cyber Ninja, Red Ninja, Dark Ninja, Firefly, etc.), for $5 each. Most of them are arguably $5 figures anyway but the Kim and Blind Master were going for $25-$30 each not too long ago. I checked the Five Below at Triangle Town Center today and they had a decent, but smaller selection. If anyone sees a Night Viper I need one!
Oh, and the ones at the Apex store weren't on the back wall with Star Wars, Marvel, etc., they were on the aisle facing the back wall. I almost overlooked them. Last edited by mj3141x; 04-14-2014 at 05:46 PM.. |

I got the 3 3/4-inch Captain America 2 Falcon figure at Target when I was in California last week. I haven't seen it around here yet. It's actually a really good figure. It's a little better than Avengers quality, before they started reducing articulation and quality. Along the same lines as the Thor 2 quality I guess.

The TRU in Cary has the new Pacific Rim series with Jaeger Coyote Tango, Chemo Alpha and Kaiju Trespasser and Knifehead. The Trespasser is frickin’ huge!

Hello fellow NC collector. Hot toys related though, don't know where to put this one. But i have a hot toys camo tumbler for sale.. Brand new, opened just for inspection. I did not removed the plastic tapes as well. I would rather sell it to a fellow NC collector preferred to be near Fuquay Varina, Raleigh, Apex, Cary area. So could save for shipping. And will sell it below retail for what i paid. Thank you. Sorry for the trouble. Have a good evening!

Went by the FYE at TTC and picked up the Daryl Dixon w/Motorcycle figure. They have a pretty large selection of Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and the Giant 19" NECA figures like Thor, Iron Man, and Arnold Predator.

I saw that Daryl Dixon figure at FYE at TTC. They had a ton of toys I've never seen before, like the huge Predator and others that I can't recall. I was too busy looking for cheap Anime.

Haha. Yes, the Captain America 2 Falcon exists. And like I said it's actually a pretty solid figure. I picked up the Steve Rogers in stealth outfit on Friday to go with it and the two look pretty good on the shelf together. Let me know if you want me to send you any pics.

I was at Crowemag Toys today on Hillsborough Street and they've put out some nice Star Wars stuff. I think they're having a promotion on Sunday (for May the 4th) for I think 10% off Star Wars stuff or something along those lines so they're probably stocking up for that. I saw too much to try to list here, but they had a wide range of new figures from all the various Star Wars lines and a lot of battle packs and vehicles that I haven't seen there before. I picked up five figures that were on my list today because I won't be able to drop by on Sunday for the 10% discount.

Targets are clearing out all of their TF stuff...and I think it's so they can put-out the MOVIE TF stuff! Can't wait to see it!
So, check your Targets if you were waiting on their exclusives to go cheaper, because they are at the ones I've been to!

Kmart in Rocky Mount had the new Transformers movie toys. I tried to buy 3 items, but could only get one (which luckily for me was the Evasion Optimus I wanted). This stuff will be plentiful come May 17th.

Spotted something interesting yesterday at the Walmart in Brier Creek. They had the Arkham Origins Series 7” Figures by DC Collectibles. They had Firefly, Deadshot and Deathstroke. I have seen these on their website but never in the store.

Saw some of the new Transformers 4 figures at the TRU at Triangle Town Center today at lunch, as well as a healthy supply of GI Joe: Retaliation figures, including a number of Blind Masters, yellow Kim Arishikage, and "ultimate" Snake Eyes figures. They've also re-stocked some of their Star Wars stuff from the big sale last weekend.
I also saw several collectibles dealers setting up inside Triangle Town Center mall today. I saw two booths in particular that had comic books, action figures, movie memorabilia, sports cards, etc., including Star Wars, GI Joe, DC, etc. I saw some interesting vintage Star Wars pieces and some of the harder-to-find Star Wars figures from the modern era, but nothing that I had to have. One interesting booth was on the upper level near Sears, FYE, etc., and one was set up on the lower level at the other end of the mall near Hollister. |

dag nabbit, I decided to just go home last night while I was up in Raleigh, when my brain was tempted to hit TRU before home.

Has anyone actually seen the Marvel 3 3/4" Infinite Series figures in any stores? I have seen a couple at Ultimate Comics in Chapel Hill, but haven't seen any at TRU, Target or Walmart.

Found more Transformers 4 figures, this time at the Walmart on Highway 42 in Garner. They looked like the deluxe class assortment and included two Dinobots (Slug and Scorn I think), High Octane Bumblebee and Crosshairs I think. (I'm not really buying Transformers these days so I'm a little out of touch.) But it was two full pegs of Age of Extinction goodness.

Also found something interesting at a CVS in Holly Springs this weekend. They had a GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra Jungle BAT. I don't know if it was a fluke or if POC figures are making their way back out to the drug stores, but this was (and still is as far as I know) a hard-to-get figure, and one that I didn't even have in my collection yet.
What's even weirder is I just glanced at the receipt again and it rang up as "TRA MV4 CB Dinobot Asst." Last edited by mj3141x; 05-16-2014 at 07:42 AM.. |

The Walmart in Brier Creek still had the Arkham Origins Series 7” Figures by DC Collectibles. Still saw Deadshot but they also had the huge Killer Croc, the thing was about 12" tall.
