Take in mind that this is the Japanese Mecha, so you pretty much have to remove any paint app and color to get an idea what this looks like with the American Turbo Falconzord, but here's the combined form:

The Japanese Mecha are so much more fun.

The guy in the video showed both in comparison. It was a very good video. It's weird how the Power Rangers version can be a robot alone, but the Super Sentai version cannot.

I honestly think it's just a way to add value to the American versions. The lack of paint apps and even functionality to make it authentic to the show makes it necessary to do something that entices you to buy there version. But they seriously look like kiddy toys next to Bandai Japan's offerings. They are easier to play rough with, though.

and they are much cheaper.
After Operation Overdrive made a DIFFERENT mold for their megazord, after years of just using the JApanese molds with less paint, I decided to get GEKI-TOUJA straight from Japan...only to find they went BACK to using the Japanese molds on THAT figure the LAST time they'd do it...but mine is still better, even though it was $90

Cool beans. I'm going to pass though. As soon as I announced that I was cutting down on my crazy collecting habits things like these began to be announced left and right. But I'm going to stick to my promise...I hope.

I saw some of the newer DC Multiverse 3 3/4" figures at Triangle TRU yesterday morning. I bought a Catwoman. I left another Catwoman, Penguin, 3 Supermen, and Unmasked Batman behind.

The Superman and the Catwoman are the two on my "Search" list. Been looking for them the last couple of weeks, my first instinct is to run over there this morning and wait for the doors to open. But, I know that now that they are spotted, they will start showing up. Have all the Multiverse, even the "unmasked" Batman, so hopefully I'll find it Friday afternoon or Saturday morning on my patrols.

Thanks for the post.

Yeah, couldn't pass these up. I Enjoy the search, but most times I pre-order stuff and look and if I find it I'll cancel my preorder. BBTS is the best for this, you can preorder and they don't charge until they ship. AND you can go online and cancel the items you don't want with the click of a mouse.

It sounds weird, but As much as I love Boba, I don't have an interest in that repaint. I may be 31, but I still buy figures I want to play with and he doesn't fit that criteria. I have the wave 2 version on my shelf. As for Venom, I haven't read anything with him in it and I'm saving for the re release of marvel Select Venom in August. I held the first release in my hands and and decided to wait. Big mistake.

From above, which Triangle TRU. I'll go ahead and be at the Durham TRU this morning at opening, but only because I'll be right by there anyway. Wish me luck!

Triangle Town Center TRU. Sorry for the late-night shorthand. Also good luck!

The DC figures are a ridiculous $15 at TRU, so I'm sure they'll be hanging around for awhile. I asked the cashier to price match their website price, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten that Catwoman figure.

I called this morning and they said they couldn't find them. I was on hold for 20 min., so either they really looked for these things or they didn't put much effort in. Part of me wants to take a risk and just go that way anyway.

Edit: On a hunch I called them back and they do have Superman. What sucks is I missed Catwoman and Unmasked Batman and I might have gotten them if whoever I talked to actually looked earlier as I called right at opening. Sheesh!

Well, finally made it by TTC TRU and picked up the last Multiverse Superman. The package was a little damaged but the figure looked fine. Also grabbed a 8" Godzilla and added another Star Wars Black Series 6" Sandtrooper to my collection.

I went to the Crabtree Mall today with my son and found where all of the Star Wars figures are hiding (at the Disney Store there are several of them). At the LEGO store (and Target) they have loads of NEW Legos in, including STAR WARS REBELS stuff. Target had nothing new except legos (the Target near the Crabtree Mall) but I have a feeling they are going to be changing over the Toy Department soon.

Do you recall seeing a Marvel Select Spiderman 2 with Peter Parker head over at the Disney Store. I want it, but I'm afraid of driving over there and they don't have it.

I don't recall. I didn't pay attention and there were so many shiny objects to divide my attention.
You can call them.

Duh! I should call them! My brain's not been with me the past few days.

So what are the thoughts about SDCC stuff from my fellow North Carolinians?

Playmates: bring on the Shredder and Krang for Classics. New it was coming, but the reveals did not dissapoint.

Mattel: Real Ghostbuster Figures?! Are you kidding me!? After years of saying they couldn't do the tooling, Matty goes ahead and does them. I'll need to see pics, but color me super excited! Bummed at no Proton Pack reveal, but kinda expected that.

Hot Toys: Marty McFly! Hellz yeah! Batman Returns Batman....YES!!!!! My favorite suit in a super expensive, but super cool toy line.

Overall, very happy and pleasantly surprised at reveals. Time to start saving.

Real Ghostbusters are coming out? I missed that news. I'm excited about some Star Wars stuff.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in how HORRIBLE Hasbro is being about GI Joe's 50th...They give 2 ARAH packs? Are you KIDDING ME?!?!?!
There should be 12" Stuff for his 50th Ann of the 12" figures.
SMH, Hasbro, SMH!

I did. I'm recently back into the Lego game for Turtles, but lack of space and price keeps me from going all in.

This is not necessarily a local sighting, but I just received via UPS the SDCC-exclusive GI Joe Danger at the Docks set I ordered from the TRU website last week.

Now I just need to get the TRU store version so I can put the tan VAMP with the blue Night Landing raft so that I can have a complete vintage-style set.

Spotted at the Cary TRU Bandai Sprukits. They are posable model kits. They had Superman from the "Man of Steel" movie and Batman fromm "The Dark Knight Rises" movie. Also happened to see a lot of the Star Wars 6" Black Series Obi Wan and Han Solo figures.
