Yeah. Red and Blue.

I know what you're going to say,

...but we've got a BUNCH of 6 inch Spiderman figures to choose from..some in the Legends line...AND SHIN YOU HAVE SOME OF THEM!

True true, BUT. It's time.

Look at Future Foundation Spiderman. Elegant. Awesome. Full articulation. The last red and blue Spiderman figures that Hasbro put out in their Spiderman Classics line weren't that great.

The black costume body they used for the 2008 BAF RULK wave was good, however, merely painting webbing would be disappointing. I want SCRIBED webbing, like on the 1st Spiderman Classics Spiderman by Toy Biz back in 2001. I remember back then, Toy Biz thought the scribed panel line technique was innovative. It was. Scribe the lines, paint wash, BAM, bad ass detail.

Some Spiderman figures since then have had either too much articulation, or a severe lack thereof.

What I want, is a NEW Marvel Legends Spiderman in red and blue, with scribed webbing, and the same articulation as the Future Foundation Spiderman. Anyone with me?

its kinda already been done thanks to toybiz although if your talking comic wise then i dunno but movie wise your best hope is the Spiderman 2 toyline great figures and the webbing on the suit was like an extra layer put on him and had some kind of dents for the webbing effect

heres a good example not sure if this what you mean , although hate to be a kill buzz but to gain detail may cost more money to do again but it doesnt mean you cant customise them
hope this helps

I think I'm good with my Series 10 Sentinel Series Spidey, actually. What articulation is he missing that the FF (white/black) Spidey has?

Those S2 Spidey figs are choking the shelves at a local action figure store here in Chicago. They are cool, but I don't see how they are demonstrably different than the Toy Biz figs.

The Spiderman 2 figure you showed had way too much articulation, because it killed the sculpt and some of the joints were very flimsy. I have the version packed with Dock Ock after Hasbro took over, think it was in a 2 pack for Target.

Also, yes, talking comic-wise. Had the "Mcfarlane" Spidey from the Spiderman Classics line by Toy Biz and the lower left leg snapped off. WTF.

That one isn't missing any articulation, but that's the black/red costume from Amazing Fantasy #15 with the narrow eye covers and his plastic is somewhat flimsy.

I have the dark blue/black version of the figure with the magnetic hands/feet and is an awesome figure! I would say the mcfarlane spiderman is the best, but he's damn pricey and limited articulation.

I got your back Shin. All the spidey figs in his own line just aren't doing it for me. I don't have the latest ML FF/BT spidey but if it has Rocker Ankles...I want an updated Classic Spidey in that mold! Although I do agree that I'd like the spidey lines etched in the mold not simply painted on or "extra layered" on.

I'm just not going to pay $60 for a Spiderman figure to go and get a McFarlane version or Snap Shot Spidey. Deadpool...maybe. But Spidey's way too popular to be a chase. I just missed the times to collect.

Re-do, Hasbro.

HEED MY WORDS!

You are dealing with things beyond your control, if hasbro grants your wish, be prepared for a three wishes style ending. The pegs will be FLOODED with spidermen and there will be NOTHING you can do about it. They will put him in EVERY wave with minor paint variations, and in "limited edition exclusives" then they'll follow it up with wolverine, and soon you'll only be able to get the front men of marvel, chaos will ensue...

This is my warning...

Why not?

Knowing Hasbro, they're probably already working on a Red/Blue redeco of the FF/BT mold anyway.

This is my Favorite 6" Spidy.
Amazing articulation that I feel doesn't hurt the sculpt too much has the gimmicky webbing on his back that can easily be removed but I think looks great for a lot of poses. It was a good effort by Toy Biz. As for any kind of sculpted webing on his costume, no, but he has the reverse not just painted on but carved into the figure.

Not perfect but pretty freaking cool. I have owned a lot of 6" Spidys inclduding the movie one you guys keep showinhg. Not a fan. In fact I still have him along with a movie venom if you like I'll sell to you on the cheap but FYI I wouldn't buy them even on the cheap. Good all around box-set, has stands and he's acompanied by what I think is the best Green Goblin to date, a pretty cool Electro and an OK Venom. Not to big on any of the other figs but thats just me. Good space holders I guess.

My runner up is this guy.

To be honest I think he's just as good as the other one. This guy is of a more Mcfarelane style and has the best head sculpt of any Spider-man. He's lean and mean and looks really cool. Great articulation but he stands a little tall. This is the same sculpt as the Spider-man that comes with the 6" Fearsome Four box set. But the head sculpt on the Fearsome Four Spidy is suck. I don't 'know why they would change perfection but he's the least awesome figure in that set.

As for the four villains, Rhino, best ever made. Carnage OK, better paint than single carded, Voulture, pretty freaking cool and the Lizard is an amazing figure.

I'm a HUGE Spider-Man fan, and as far as I'm concerned he can never have enough articulation, These two really are the best in my opinion. When I sold my ML collection I held on to both of these guys as well as the Green Goblin from the 7 pack.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions or want the move Spider-Man and venom hit me up.

That detail is cool, and accurate, BUT, for a movie Spidey.

Dude they're already doing it, might as well make a new classic Spidey while they're at it. I realized that with the 2012 ML, Hasbro does have a version of their heavy hitters in their 1st waves. While the average parent and kid wouldn't be able to tell the difference, we can.

Oh Spiderman? Bam, FF/BT. Wolverine? How about his son? Captain America? Let's throw Steve Rogers AND Bucky in. Iron Man? Wave 1. Hey Thor had a movie and a new mold for SDCC, let's repaint him and fill in wave 1 with him!

To the average consumer, those are figures of iconic Marvel characters. To the diehard fan, they're versions of popular Marvel characters we've been wanting for ML.

The other problem I had with McFarlane Spidey, which is even more apparent in those pics, is the sloppyness of the paint job. The paint runs too much with scribed lines it would seem. I want my figure to look as clean as possible. I don't mind minor touch ups, but lets face it, the older Spidey's had paint from web lines running everywhere.

Whoa is that movie 1 super poseable Spidey? Looks good! I actually dig that the thigh swivel is at the half way point.

That Ben Reilly Spidey, would've bought if the web lines were scribed. I think it uses the same body as the BAF RULK wave black Spidey which is an excellent mold, and the best ML Black Spidey.

yea thats from the 1st movie, its a pretty good figure and its been my main spidy ever since it came out. i really cant stand the 2nd movie figure. but thats just my opinion.

i still need to get the rulk wave spider-man one of these days. from the reviews ive seen i honestly think its the best spider-man thats been made. its just to bad we cant have a classic red and blue in that mold

I got these pics online for use as examples. I only have a hand full of ML now. Captain America, Thor, Silver Iron Man, Green Goblin, Venom, Grey Hulk, the two Spidys and a few BAF. Had to hold onto a few of my favorites.

I'm into Marvel universe now.
