It's an untested line with practically no built-in audience other than a fairly small cult following. Tooling to add extra points of articulation adds to the cost of producing and selling the figure. The toy market isn't always friendly to completely new IP's. With a less expensive set of figures to produce, there's a better chance of making money on the line, which will allow it to continue.
