Very cool, even though its a fairly simple idea with the technology and where it is headed, I feel as though this is a huge advancement for meshing together toys and videogaming. At the same time, would this also take away from children having play time with their own imagination? My other concern with this would be a lot of broken Ipads from children scratching and bashing the screen while playing with it or even dropping the Ipads.

This takes the original image of a kid playing with dinkie cars and hotwheels on a rubber/carpet mat that has streets and building printed on it, to a kid using a toy to blow up building and shoot fire when rolling over an ipad, very impressive it's like nes-ps3, the advancement is definatley coming.

Exactly what I was just thinking.

Yeah it's a neat idea, but impractical.
It kind of reminds me of those Muppet figure sets someone put out some years ago that would hook up to the computer, and depending on where you put the figure on the set it would interact with little games and animations on screen. This strikes me as being just as successful.

i wouldn't let my child run his cars on my tv screen or computer monitor so i sure as heck wouldn't let him do it to my ipad if i had one...

cool idea, but no...just no!

I have no interest in cars, but this looks incredibly fun imo. I like the direction this is going in.

I think it's pretty cool. I wouldn't be too keen on letting a toddler use my iPad for this, but age 7-8 or so?.......while keeping my eye on em? Sure.
