Damn those look nice. I was into the Toybiz Icons line, so I'm game for these! Look that Steve Roger's face sculpt!

These do look good; if they make an Antman I'm game.

Wasn't Hasbro's dilemma on the 4" line cost? The direction they're going seems like a bologna excuse.

Looks nice, but are they seriously calling this line Legends too? THat's going to be THREE lines now all branded as Legends. This will get confusing......

Do people get this confused with Black Series stuff?

I do. I'm wanting more of the 3.75" black figures becuase i think the 5POA are not something i want to get into. So I do see a Black Series reveal, and I don't get my hopes up anymore because some times you have to do some digging to find out if it's 6 or 3.75". I know the threads do help at times by listing the scale, but still....they already have brands: Marvel, DC, Star Wars...why do they need to make each of the lines the same name too?

As juggernaut pointed out below, with there being less 3.75 black series in SW, I just assume that anything branded that is the 6" scale, until proven otherwise.

But the Marvel stuff is a different thing all together, we do have two lines with decent production and now they're adding a third to the mix (albeit there likely won't be that many figures in this one). Even if we are able to figure it out pretty easy, it doesn't help matters....

When they were on shelves together, yes. Now that Hasbro has marginalized the 4" Black Series to a handful of Walmart exclusives, it is less of an issue.

This is what I've been missing!!! Finally...more quality 12" figures at a fraction of the cost of Hot Toys (assuming). Is there an estimated price yet?

...I promise to stop ripping on Hot Toys for prices.

oh look, another iron man and captain figure and fully articulated with large amounts of plastic. I guess Star Wars isn't worth it to Hasbro anymore. I am excited for the possibilities, just confused with that company.

The months of rumored info and speculation were accurate. I'd be more excited if there was any chance of seeing characters like the Stranger, or the Living Tribunal. This would allow me to use them 'in-scale' with my Legends (6" - a qualifier is necessary now that everything is a "Legend" ) figures. I wonder if the molds for this 12" line will be appropriated for 6" Bafs? Now that might be something to look forward to for 6" scale collectors.

Why? Seriously? There lines.....same name....and they said not to long ago that the 3.75 line had to lose articulation for cost reasons....yet they can make these?

That's a really cool looking Captain America. Not a scale of figures that I'm really interested in, but I am kinda curious to see how these look in-person.

The Toy Biz Marvel Icons figures were really awesome, while the Hasbro ones were only so-so, so I'm glad to see this line return. Hopefully Hasbro has learned some lessons from their last crack at it. With a return to this scale, it also gives me hope that we'll see G.I.Joe return in his classic 12 inch scale that complimented his smaller counterparts.

I hope we get some guys like Blue Marvel said, characters who are already big on their own. I'd love to get an Apocalypse with this size and detail to go with my 4" figures.

Wouldn't it be cool if they focused on making their legends line better rather than introducing a new one.

Oh well.

Not really. The issue is that, assuming the same basic part count between a 4 and 6" figure, aren't that much difference in cost to produce, yet, they can get away with a higher pricepoint with larger figures.

For example, if it a 4" figure wholesales for $10 or so, the store is only making $3 per sale at a $12.99 pricepoint. A 6" might wholesale for $13 per figure, yet can retail for $19.99 (thus make $7 per sale). So selling ONE 6" figure, theoretically, generates as much as TWO 4" figures.

I fully expect these 12" figures to have VERY significant margins.

About $50, IIRC. Literally, double the price for double the size.

Probably wholesales for $30 or something.

I actually like the Hasbro icons Dr. Doom more than any of the Toybiz Icons. He just seemed to have the prefect articulation that didn't interfere with his sculpt.

They need to utilize this line for actual large sized MU characters such as Galactus, any of Hank Pyms aliases, Erik Jolsten Goliath, Sentinels, Orca, Celestials. Big waste of $$ to make a giant Cap & IM. I would gladly fork over $50 for characters that are actual giants in the MU & come with alternate heads, hands, weapons or blast effects. But not for giant sized versions of normal sized characters.
