I started collecting Die-Cast Batmobiles around the time Dark Knight Rises came out. Hot Wheels reissued a bunch of 1:50 scale movie Batmobiles to coincide with the movie's release just like they are doing now to capitalize on Batman V Superman. A friend of mine showed me his collection of Corgi Batmobiles and I liked them so much that I started tracking down some of those too. Then Eaglemoss started their Batman Automobilia line and I bought a bunch of those too to fill gaps in my collection. I also pick up almost every Batman related 1:64 scale car I can get my hands on. The crown jewel of my collection is the Hot Wheels 1:18 scale 1989 Batmobile. It remains my all-time favorite Batmobile and this version is amazing. After that, the Corgi Batmobiles are my second favorite. They are the best quality compared to the Hot Wheels and Eaglemoss cars, but they are harder to find now and can be expensive. The cases on the wall, the tin signs and the acrylic cases all came from Michael's arts & crafts stores. |

Thanks! FYI the bigger, square cases with the 1:64 scale cars are actually meant for shot glasses. I had to unscrew the wall hangers and put them on the side instead to put the 1:64 scale cars in horizontally. I hung them with the hinges on the bottom so I wouldn't have to prop open the door while I arranged all the cars inside. |
