So I was at Toys R Us, a bird on my shoulder told me they might have cool shwag because it was Thor's Day BUT IT WAS WRONG.

I came across the new Amazing Spiderman toys. While these toys LOOK better than that cheap Spiderman line from last year and before with Stretch Strike Venom which was a complete PITA to find and was subsequently the only figure worth buying let alone looking at,

THESE FIGURES HAVE EVEN LESS ARTICULATION!

YES I ALREADY KNEW!

BUT STILL!

THEY LOOK BETTER NEXT TO THE DARK KNIGHT RISES LINE BECAUSE THAT LINE IS EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTING ASIDE FROM ANY MOVIE MASTER THAT ISN'T BATMAN

EVEN SO

I AM DISAPPOINT

THESE ARE ON PAR WITH CLONE WARS FIGURES FOR ARTICULATION BUT EVEN THEN COME ON THIS IS SPIDERMAN

THEN THERE'S THIS ONE THAT MOVES AND STUFF WITH A REMOTE THAT LOOKS LIKE AN ACTION FIGURE IF YOU STEPPED ON IT

I STOOD THERE STANDING LOOKING DOWN OVER A FIGURE ON THE FLOOR, IT SHAMED ME BY JUST BEING THERE I STARED IT DOWN TO MAKE IT FEEL EVEN WORSE. YOU ARE DESTINED FOR ROSS I TOLD IT. WALMART WILL ROLL YOU BACK LIKE THEIR PRICES.

YES I KNOW THERE IS THAT UBER ARTICULATED SPIDERMAN IN WAVE 2 BUT OH GUESS WHAT THE PROTO LOOKED WAY BETTER.

LIZARD? NO.

IN LIGHT OF PETRO PRICES GOING UP WHY WASTE PRECIOUS PETRO MAKING THIS THESE KINDS OF TOYS? OH YES KIDS WILL BUY IT UP...PSYKE!

I HAVE TWO WORDS

SHELF WARM

Hahahaha if you ignore the heinous "trainers" the Grapple Hook/Manga costume Spidey is actually a great figure, not without faults(lack of articulation being its main fault really) but other than that its a great figure and i saddens me how close it came to being an AWESOME figure........i still love it though......just need to work out how to replace those wretched shoes!!

I've seen this line on the pegs for a week now but didn't actually look at the things until today. All I can say is that I REALLY hope the kiddies like these things because I think they look terrible! T-crotches? Ugh, I had no idea they were gonna be THAT bad, I figured they'd be like The Avengers line, silly me.

I imagine a spy vs. spy panel where the Mattel spy goes to Hasbro and designs the Spidey line turns around giggling only to find the Hasbro spy just finished shipping the DKR line.

The Super-Articulated Spider-Man isn't bad at all - obviously not in terms of articulation. The Doc Ock figure looks ok but the backpack is way too big (and the figure has no articulation). I looked at Grapple/Magna Spidey but its just too out of the box for me.

I submit the argument that maybe these aren't meant for you. No sense slamming them, just move along and let the rest of us who can find the positives into the aisle, please.
