Probably going to skip this one. The likeness is close, but not quite there. The mouth is just off, and the chin needs a more defined dimple. It’s a shame, as the eyes, hair, and jaw all look pretty close.

If that were the head sculpt on, say, a new $20 McFarlane 7” Superman, I’d probably be happy with it. But for $125, it needs to be pretty much perfect.

Does Mezco typically charge this much for DC figures or is it just Keaton Batman and Reeve Superman?

Depends on the character and accessories. Usually the more expensive figures have LED lights or more accessories. Keaton Batman uses “new” seamless technology. Hopefully we’ll see soon!

I think for both it's a combo of exclusiveness and also likeness costs since you had to get the actor and studio separately for the licenses so probably cost more. So they add some more plastic to the bundle to bring up the costs.

A normal Batman figure is $80-85 typically.

Seances aren't cheap. Gotta get the candles, hire the medium, etc.

Yeah, that figure is a mess. Outfit is way too loose. That smiling head sculpt is atrocious.

I love the Fortress of Solitude base. It's a killer addition and I love that it lights up when you insert one of the crystals into it. If the figure was better, I'd hop on this in an instant almost just for that.

Sad thing is that most people are gonna jump on it anyways since we're so starved for even semi-decent Reeve Superman figures (NECA's and Hot Toys notwithstanding!) Well that and maybe it'll make good future trade fodder when Mezco makes another Golden Gomez the Roach figure, maybe this one will be decked out in a "Sean Connery in Zardoz" speedo!

Yeah I'm getting it even though that smiling head isn't that great. Or trying to at least, this is the longest I've had to deal with ordering from their site in a while.

... forget it. I just wasted my entire work lunch trying multiple browsers and my phone and computer, cannot get past pay pal or using a credit card before the site stops working.

Ordered. Accessories are great. Will display with my Neca Chris Reeve Supes. NECA will be with the light up base, Mezco will be flying.

Mezco found my weakness... classic superheroes. If they do a linda carter WW, I will cry.

Side note... I thought NECA's SDCC orders were a pain. This thing was ridiculous. Kept telling me my credit card was invalid. LOL

Had to use my ATM card, and I'll switch it over once the frenzy is over. Same thing happened with Batman. Dunno why Mezco doesn't like VISA.

Finally got this preordered. Once again Mezco’s website was a pain in the ass. I think he looks pretty good. Better than the classic one for sure. I know $125 is no bargain but he comes with some neat accessories and he comes in a tin so, I don’t think the price is that far out of line. The most painful part was just trying to get my order in. Oh and that smiling head sculpt is bit creepy.

Took me a half hour, way longer than the last few preorders including '89 Batman.

There's things I like and things I don't. But I just can't pull the trigger at 125 + shipping. Wish they'd release a more simplistic version without the Fortress of Solitude and one less set of hands for 80-100.

Same here. I tried PayPal several times before going to my credit card, which also took several tries but finally went through. The last 3 exclusives I ordered ( Keaton Batman, Blade and Baron Bends) went through with no issues. Sorry to see Mezco take a step backwards this time around.

Yeah it's weird since I would've assumed the Keaton Batman would've been the hardest to grab, but maybe everyone is just dying for a Superman in their collection too?
