I don’t like it at all. The likeness is not great but that smiling head is just....puke. Fabric is not working on this figure at all. I have my hot toys and Mattel figure, and I’ll get the neva one someday.

my list of pros and cons, i did look up images to see, and these are just my opinions. I have loved christopher reeve as superman since i dunno i was 4 years old, and remember always watching it on TV, and now own the blu-rays from 1 to 4, and is what got me into DC

Cons

1. he looks too bulky image below provided
2. Smiling headsculpt is painful to look at.
3. The Fortress of Solitude feels like a waste of plastic , and the colour seems off
4. The Shirt, neck hole is so wide it sits on shoulders...okay maybe not on the promo shots, but something to consider. -judging by the last image.
5. Pant's need to be tighter

Pros
1.neutrual head sculpt looks good
2.accessories i.e hands and kryptonite look good
3.Flight stand
4, belt and logo look good as well as the cape. EDIT - Actually Scrap that the cape is too long.

It’s still up, so that’s a plus. Better than the Neca “blink and it’s sold out” of their sdcc stuff.
Reeve and the “superfriends” was my version of Superman for most of my life. I never watched the WB cartoons since it was on when I was doing my homework. Seeing this just really “gives me the feels” as the kids say these days.

Stoic face isn’t bad. The smile is just demonic. Would have preferred a screaming face for the death of Lois scene.

Speaking of... wonder what are the chances of a Margot Kidder Lois? I know mezco jumps around a lot, but how cool would it be to have a Lois Lane with 3 optional heads - Margot Kidder/Amy Adams/Teri Hatcher. Similar to the Mattel Alfred

Yeah the licensing for that would be a nightmare between 3 actresses lol, no way Mezco does that. It'd be bundled with a newsdesk or something to make it $150 if they did any Lois.

Oh, yeah, I know it'd be a licensing nightmare if they did the exact likeness... I was thinking more like Blade. Close enough to get the nod from fans, but different enough to avoid the legal vultures billowing forth from the depths of hades.

He does have it. You can only see it in one of the pics. Looks like they added it in after the fact.

Yeah they must've just photoshopped that in. The same pic on this site is still showing it without.

Not that I care either way. It was just funny cause I remember the huge uproar when Sideshow forgot the S on the cape for their Reeve statue years ago.

If anyone wants just the figure and not the base/accessories, LMK - I'll split it with ya.

Same. I like the figure in general but the smiling head looks like a guy smiling behind a wax lips smile, lol. Just looks wrong. The rest is decent enough but that price! I only bought the Evil Dead Ash figure and at the price they were charging I only bought THAT because I had a discount and a gift card via Amazon. That was $80 and somehow it seems they have likeness issues and accuracy problems on all their figures. For $125 I just can't see myself buying this or the Keaton Batman.

No, but they are releasing a Jim Lee Superman from Batman: Hush.

That smiling head looks like he just caught whiff of his own fart. And he likes it.

Close... it’s his postcoital grin from Superman 2.

$125 is way too much.

SOmeone commented the suit looks loose? It's not, it's the body underneath which makes the clothes look unatural.

I was in the game early for Mezco when it was 55-$65 dollars, but now, rather buy Hot Toys.

That is an impressive looking Superman. That’s why I preordered him and even though I also just ordered the 78 Superman I plan on keeping the Jim Lee Hush version as well. It’s a great looking figure.

I preordered both as well. When it comes to my favorite heroes, I like having different iterations represented in my collection.

Hmm... Body proportions are good although the figure is slightly beefier than Reeves. But I don't think they captured his likeness with any of the faces. The stoneface looks like a combination of Reeves and Cumberbatch and the smiling face just looks off.

It's a shame we never got a chance to see Christopher Reeve play a Bizarro to his Superman. That smiling face might become the basis for a Reeve Bizarro custom...

That is so close to the perfect Superman, but he looks like he’s about to cry. I don’t think I can deal with it. It’s not even a bad sculpt, but I don’t think I want it on my shelf.

That’s better than the Superman sculpt, I think. I toyed with doing the same, but I’d really miss the curl. It’s so tempting, but I’m trying to stop buying things that are almost but not quite what I want. Especially at these prices.
