NECA makes collector style figures of Kenner's 90's ALIENS kiddie line.

Super 7 is making 5 POA kiddie-style figures of the ALIENS movie characters.

What a strange time.

Wow, what a fun and cool trio! I wasn't initially all that interested in these (and passed on the first run of Kenner-inspired figures), but these have piqued my interest. Apone is a really fun one, and I love that he comes with stickers to apply yourself—just like in the old days! That snake alien is just nuts. It's almost hard to understand visually as there's so much going on. I really want to see it in person. Scorpion, while cool, looks too similar to my last alien purchase, the Defiance xeno. Last but not least, these photos are fantastic! Love 'em!

Great photos and review!! Although I don't collect NECA Aliens, now I am interested in getting those two Alien figures !

Out of curiosity, how did the scorpion Alien come to be lore-wise? Just can't envision a face-hugger somehow impregnating a scorpion

I appreciate the kind words!

Kenner, I think, was always a bit fuzzy on the wide range of Xeno crossovers they did.

The Space Marines were going to other planets and finding the Alien variants. So it was giant extraterrestrial scorpions that the scorpion aliens spawned from. I had the Kenner figure with the mini comic, but I can't quite remember the details.

I recall the Gorilla alien's minicomic showed 4 armed space gorillas, yet the alien spawned from them had 2 arms.

Love the Kenner lines. Can't wait to see what they roll out next (wave 16 if they keep up with the kenner every three waves pattern they've been doing).

So you're saying that piston thing on Apone's cybernetic arm doesn't feel brittle and will actually stand up to posing? If so, that's impressive. NECA seems to be stepping up their QC game as of late.

Yup. The piston is thicker than on their Terminator's or Robocop figures, with the plastic rod being elongated so that it never came apart when I was shooting. And then they surrounded the connected areas with some softer plastic on the mechanical arm. So it moves without any issues.
