Does anyone else wish that the MU line would use (sometimes) the cloth that Hasbro usually uses with all their SW lines (Jedi robes etc.) the Sentry in particular has a shit cape, I wonder what the reasoning is?

SCREW the cloth cape!
It never looks anything close to correct for the scale- instantly dropping any figure's coolness by half for me.

Yeah man...I gotta admit the cloth cape is kinda ratty for me.

Although I have to admit, some of the plastic capes have been done very poorly.

Most notable to me is
Odin (his cap is curved inward giving that wind from behind look, but it makes his stance look really weird)
Dr Doom (designed to fit into his back but doesn't lay right on the body)
Secret Wars Thor (cape just falls off way too easily)

It depends on the figure for me, but in general I prefer the plastic capes.

If they could maybe use a thicker material for their cloth capes, I'd be interested.

Plastic capes are much easier to clean if your collection gets some dust on it. Cloth is a pain to clean. I'll stick with Plastic, though I'd prefer the capes to not be shaped awekwardly like they are blowing.

On this subject...some of my plastic capes are getting rubbed off on others. I.e. my Moon Knight has pink, green etc specles on it from laying against other figs. I';ve tried conventional water and soap, some of it comes off some doesnt.

IDeas?

I don't prefer it all the time, but for some figures( the Dr Doom one especially), his plastic cape is almost too heavy, like i have to prop him up or have him leaning forward or something. I wish they could make a vinyl-ish heavier cloth cape, so it doesn't fray and look all gnarly. Unless the character has a gnarly cape.

Plastic capes all the way for me. The cloth Jedi robes, for example, have always looked bulky and frayed and generally stupid. I'll admit that the plastic capes CAN sometimes be weighty and make the figure difficult to pose, but that's a price I'm willing to pay.

Yeah everytime I see a SW Thor & Enchantress 2 pack i notice the fact that Thor's cape is completely unnattached

Is there a way for the capes to be of a material that can be played with for effect? It would be nice to make many figures take on different interpretations that appeal to any fan

Yup definitely plastic. The cloth looks shitty, IMO it makes the figures look like a 150 lb man wearing an XXL sweater. RIDICULOUS!!!
