The dark brown vest looks like softgoods, but the light tan one looks like molded plastic? Also he doesn't look a lot like Andre to me, no offense to the late great ATG, but this figure seems too handsome haha. I thought it might've been early Andre, but even after looking up pictures of him when he was younger, I don't see it.

Cool idea, I'd like to get an Andre the Giant figure, but this one... nah. The faces are weird, much like the Conan-figures announced in the same wake.

It’s definitely not Andre and not close enough to give it a pass either, especially for the price they're asking.

oh wow, this came out of left field from super7.
the only down side is the resemblance, doesnt look like him
but other than that this will sell big time cause i know there is a huge Wrestling figure Collector community out there.

SideNote: this is a good example of what other figure companies should do. this was smart from super7.
Offering a fabric option and a molded option with the vest, good move.

The body looks good and theres not a lot of naturally big bodies out there, like the Kingpin BAF has a lot of super hero proportions. But a made to order $45 figure isnt my first choice for a custom base. But yeah, the face isnt right. André had some exaggerated facial features particularly his nose, chin, lips, and teeth. They got the lips right but the overall shape of the head and thos other parts arent right. Arguably they made him too "normal" looking.

Also, this isnt the André look for me. I'll always remember him with the short hair.

Wrestling figure collectors are shitting all over this lol.

I'd agree the likeness isn't there but I don't think it's that bad. I think those 2 heads with the big hair on that specific body creates a silhouette that is very clearly a young Andre even if they didn't nail the likeness.
The other head tho is a huge fail.

I LOVE Andre and really want to like this, but the face sculpts are terrible. Super7 should take a look at the Andre Flashback figure from Mattel. Way better facial likeness. As if now, I'm gonna have to pass.

I could be way off here, but I believe what super7 and the fourhorsemen are going for is the ultimates style. This figure will not go with jakks or Mattel. This figure will fit in with the motuc, thundercats,TMNT, Conan and toxic crusader. If the faces looked to real, like neca, they would not fit on these bodies correctly. This seems to be a “classics” or “ultimates” style. Basically 80’s figures done in 7” scale. This style is growing on me. I get a princess bride vibe from this.

That's because it is softgoods. Also I noticed that with these wrestling figures they're all fairly cartoonist in style. Having some realism while also a slight animated look. Lastly, not sure anyone here even knows but Super 7, Fourhorsemen even DC Collectibles (with their TMNT vs Batman figures) have been working with Cjesim who he's know for making a lot of 1/12 scale cloth goods for action figures.

Just never understood why none of these post add that since Cjesim advertises his work with those companies on his social media pages a lot and he does great stuff for the action figure community and deserves a shout out from time to time.

I know it's softgoods, I was just pointing out that the ad copy lists both vests as softgoods when one is obviously molded plastic.

Horrible face sculpts. Between this garbage and the Conan line, it's obvious that Super7 should just stay the hell away from properties based on the likenesses of real people. Their sculptors suck.

Andre was a big giant man, with a big giant face, with big giant features.

HOW do you sculpt it THAT badly? I'd love this figure but it looks nothing like him.

Swing and a miss! If Super 7 is bold enough to ask $45 each, I’m bold enough to say the likeness is way off! I thought Conan was bad, yikes! Super 7 you have to do better than this is you want this kind of money. Shame because I definitely would buy some classic wrestlers and I really wanted a Arnie Conan. They are usually great with listening to feedback, so I hope these get reworked a bit.

What's the point of this unless they are gonna do vintage wrestlers.

Same reason Storm Collectibles made figures of Ali,Tyson & Hogan. They're iconic names that transcend the sports they competed in. But who knows, maybe they are planning some kind of vintage wrestling line.
