There are so many good comments already, not much left to say. This is a weird move. Those turtles are not very desirable...When will they learn it's not all about the Turtles anyway? Come out with a footie and a Shredder and a Mutant, along with the turtles, and it might start selling everything. Otherwise it's just four more turtles that look exactly alike and it will cost you $100. After that you will have no money for anything else.
Sadly playmates, no thanks, I'll pass. Come out with more retro turtles...MUTANTS..you did the turtles already, multiple times, it's time for some mutants, trusssst me.

This guy? XD He's sold out too.

Playmates sucks they half ass everything and they are the main reason NECA can't sell their turtle product everywhere.

Well if I could offer a counter argument, I would. I got nothing.

That's a hard question to answer. I think most people would love just a Super7 Scratch because he's become a bit of grail, but I think only the hardcore mega Turtle collectors want new Dino Turtles in any form let alone Tyranno Shredder so I don't see anyone tackling them again.

Fat difference between not liking something and insulting people for liking it, mate. It doesn't even sound like you've even tried watching it.

The humor might not be for everyone, but it has the best action sequences of any Turtles show.

Also keep in mind it's marketed for young children so while that doesn't preclude any criticism or anyone from liking it, you're still not the target audience.

Unlikely but Playmates would probably be the only ones who would, if any. I didn't hear it directly so grain of salt, but apparently NECA has straight up said they won't do them.

I never insulted anyone. You like, great. I don’t. I love the rocky horror picture show, but everyone of my friends and family hate it. I don’t cry about it, I just watch and enjoy it on my own. Again like opinions, we all have different tastes.

I watched a few with my son, neither one of us liked it. He went back to the cartoon before that on Hulu. I also assume that by a new show coming soon and the lack of retail space and cancellation of the second large playset that the “target audience “ of kids also didn’t care for it.

Rise is basically cancelled they sent it to die on Nicktoons which they do with a lot of shows. I hate Rise too the previous show that they cancelled for Rise was so much better aka the 2012 show

Oof. Why aren't they just re-issuing the hell out of the original line?

I'm finding I'm a minority: I'd consider myself a huge TMNT fan but I would never justify paying for those Super7 figures. I'm not a fan of the NECA ones, either (I do have the 1:4 1990 though) and price is part of that equation. I *would* rebuy original figures in a heartbeat and would go nuts for the Cave Turtles or the Dino Turtles (the latter I never saw in the wild).

Should these not have been in black and white color schemes?

Seeing them makes me tempted to paint my classic turtles eyes white. Mine are all googely eyed. Looking in two different directions at the same time.
One thing I always look for in TMNT are places to sheath weapons. I’m not seeing em with Raphael at least. Would it be at his back or do they not have any?

I totally agree with the Super7. For me, they look TOO much like the 1987 toys (which IMHO are the worst of TMNT product, bearing little resemblance to the cartoon or comics) and their $50ea price is just crazy. Totally not saying they shouldn't be made, nor am I saying anyone is wrong for getting them. It's all good. I had no problem finding the NECA sets at Target, but I understand it's hard for some people to find.

I'm surprised Playmates is trying to push these again. While the sculpts were ok, I wasn't a fan of the original plastic used. I had Donatello back in 2012, and he developed cracks in the elbows and knees at the pins and was chucked once I got the SDCC NECA box set. Hopefully these are improved over their 2012 versions. If Playmates committed to this line, I could see people collecting these, as they could be sold at all locations. While not perfect, these could definitely meet the needs of many collectors. They'd scale well with McFarlane DC.

Side note... I had no recollection of the Dino TMNT, so I had to look it up. I don't think I ever saw those. I laughed out loud and the other people on the train were looking at me like I was nuts. Thanks.
