Ughh...What have they done to the paladins?! They looks awful which is very disappointing considering how well Playmates captured the lions.
I am really pissed off anout this; subjectively: I am mostly annoyed at how they completely ruined Shiro and Keith handsomeness!
Objectively: I am angry mostly on how they made Pidge look like an actual boy! This is suck and Zarkon looks dull and lame too. I hope there will be adult collector alternatives.

On the bright side, there is going to be DIE-CAST Voltron*-*!!!
Shame, they didn't show his combined mode:/. I think this the only voltron toy I am going to get...

I was excited that they were doing the characters and stuff (although I don't see Allura or Hagar anywhere), but the sculpts are pretty awful looking. Mattel 4 inch figures look far more detailed than those.

I'll give Playmate's this, they're doing a much better job with this line than I thought. Really makes me wish they would do the same for TMNT...

Should be interesting to see how the dieast Voltron comes out. Should hopefuly be better proportioned than the big combining one since it won't have all the electronic gimmicks.

Glad they're gonna be doing more ro-beasts. If they had only done one, I would just completely skip the basic line.

Playmates do more characters in this line then TMNT, but it's done poorly. Those paladin figures have such a lazy and bad sculpt..

They're kinda...chunky in places. The helmets don't help.

Plus, I think Lance may have jumped a skin tone, as I don't remember him being that white.

The paladins aren't that bad. I think it is mostly that the helmets look terrible on them. Do they have any waist articulation?

The die-cast one looks cool. It looks like just a down sized version of the big one. If I didn't already have the big one, I would be all over the die-cast version.

They're not perfect, but I think the pilots look pretty good. Especially considering the company behind them. I still haven't watched the series yet, but just based on the figures I kinda want the black lion's pilot.

Also, just watched Pixel Dan's video, and according to the rep he talks to the diecast lions are going to retail for fifteen bucks... Not really sure an 8" tall Voltron is worth eighty bucks to me...

No ankle rockers, no ab crunch, no waist/chest swivel, and there doesn't appear to be double jointed knees and elbows. Also, skin tons seem off.

They are bad, aside the limitied articulation issue, they look like deformed shrunken midget version of themselves and Hunk the only one who actually needs to look all bulky and isn't enough!

Here look at the charaters below and see how elongated and slim (excpet for Hunk who should be thicker) they're in comparsion for those Playmates lazy sculpts

Well, more for me then^^. That's great price, definitely I will get each lion, may the scalpers won't ruin everything.

No offence, but were you REALLY expecting any of that articulation from Playmate's? As for skin tones, these look to be hand painted prototypes, so just wait to see how further off the mark they might be once produced.

Why shouldn't I? I'm not lowering my standards for companies that want to be cheap.

By that logic, anything below a Hot Toys level of detail is unacceptable.

The details are fine, it just the sculpt itself is bad.

They making playline toys for kids at 10$! I knew the articulation going to be like the main turtles, which is fine, but the actual sculpting of the characters is highly disappointing.

Might have to pick up Keith, but I'd like to see another company tackle these with more traditional figure standards, more articulation, etc.
