So I took the PotA playset apart and while I could, I took a picture of what I consider to be the playsets greatest weakness. The folded and slotted wedges that hold up the backdrop project back so far that you cannot back the set up to a wall to eliminate the excessive dead space behind it.

I took the base to Hobby Lobby and did a paint match, using a 40% off coupon, I paid 76 cents to paint a $35 Battle Mountain the same color as the $70 set next to it.

The color is Americana Golden Straw, so feel free to look up Timmee Toys and order as many of these as you want for your Apes to crawl all over.

The Readysetz Kickstarter apparently tanked. The sets are up for preorder at the same link at regular price, $65 for the small set and $95 for the large set. They ship in October.

I recently acquired a second Star Fortress playset. The first came with all of the cardboard bits but not the small box and gun. It was also suffering from heat stroke, causing the plastic to shrink and warp, preventing the set from opening flat. The new set came with the small box and gun, but no other accessories, but the plastic is in much better shape, so now I have 1 good complete set. Meanwhile I am trying to scan as many of the cardboard bits into the computer so that I can print off as many of them as I want. Here is the first.

I have been wanting to get this guy into some appropriate shots since I got him. He is the only plastic there, everything else is paper.

I found these metal bistro chairs at Michaels. The tables meant to go with them are too short and also fragile.

Picked up this little item at Michael's, on the same rack as the cemetery gate I got last year. I has blinking red and gren lights inside, behind the door. Makes a good cemetery mausoleum even without the lights.

I've said it before but it needs to be said again: I love all your things, you find the best stuff!

(but I am sad your pictures are sometimes so grainy. So it's hard to see details)

H. B. Halicki wrote, directed and stared in Gone in 60 Seconds in 1974. He made the movie on a shoestring budget and made a fortune off of it. He had a guy who worked for him whose sole job was to go to a flea market in California every Sunday and "buy every toy worth buying." When he died doing a stunt for the sequel, it took them 3 1/2 aircraft hangers to lay out and auction off his toy collection.

He won.

As for the pics, I make due with what I have that I know how to operate, old dog and all that. Sorry.
