I suppose you could argue that the gate works in about any scale as long as the figures aren't bigger than the gate and then similar logic could be put into the bookshelves, like those big ones in public libraries instead of the home-sized one it's meant to be.

I only collect 1:18 figures so the figures will need to be traded or sold off.

I plan on incorporating both the book shelf and gate into my 1:18 collection. Once they come in I'll take some scale comparison pictures. Even if the gate is a bit short it can still work by adding some additional pillars for the actual display piece to sit on.

I respect commitment but I could never swear myself to only one scale simply because some of my favorite licenses don't have proper if any 1:18 representation. There was the 3.75" line Mezco did for horror but they are pretty hard to come by now. Or now Mezco is finally doing some 3.75" Mortal Kombat figures but it feels like Hasbro's current Marvel situation where the price difference between the scales is only around $4 which makes it harder to justify getting the smaller figures, especially since I jumped on getting some 6" MKX figures.

I've never seen that before. It looks like there is 2 of them. One for the 8" figures ad 1 for the 3 3/4" figures. I like the look of the bigger one. Both of them are well outside what I would spend on something like that though.

I found these pictures on the internet of them.

Here is both the large and mini one.

I just prefer my collection to be somewhat cohesive. Some of the styling is different but most of them are roughly the same scale so they can all interact with each other when I'm not in the room.

Luckily I don't really have to worry about cost differences and can just get whatever I like most. The Marvel stuff is actually cheap compared to some of the new stuff out there like Lost Planet, HIYA Aliens, Boss Fight VHACKS, Acid Rain, Japanese figures, All the awesome stuff Kickstarter campaigns have been cranking out, etc...

What good is a collection if you cannot enjoy it by displaying it. I discovered the hard way I just don't have the space or money for anything bigger.

There are actually 2 versions of the small one and I believe you accidently showed both. Note the colors of the crank wheel and button.

Exactly what I would want the book cases to look like

I actually found a papercraft bookshelf 2 high. I saved it to paint, copied and pasted it several shelves high and printed it out. Looks pretty good.

This project is for my Remco Universal Studios Mini Monsters, which are in 1/18 scale. I recently acquired a set of fast food mini monsters, some of which came with accessories. The Frankenstein Monster came with a monotone gray plastic lab table, which came in 3 pieces. As you can see from the pictures, it fits the Remco figure perfectly, so I decided to give it a custom paint job. Out of the entire set, I feel this is the best piece. It is simple to make, yet communicates the idea of the lab table perfectly. I am disappointed Remco never thought of anything like this.

I started by disassembling it and giving the pieces a good base coat of white paint. This will help preserve the integrity of the colors I use. Next I repainted the base parts of the table gray. I added detail with brown for the straps and bronze for the “moving parts,” those elements that look like mechanical parts of the table. I painted black in the channels for the knobs and white, yellow, green and red in the gages. I trimmed the gages in bronze and used a sewing pin to dot the holes in the straps with black.

Nice!

One of my favorite accessorie pieces is a little tool box that came in the iron man mefa blocks line. It two separate piece that like a real tool box open up to hold tool. It came with a hammer and wrench but I added to mine a sonic screw driver a star trek 2009 movie phaser and a gijoe glock and tiny tablet. Really should get them casted.

I really like paper-craft props because they're cheap and allow for ample customization in a display. I made this arcade cabinet a few years back and wanted to make more for an arcade/comic-shop diorama but my color printer went to shit and I had to throw it away and upgrade to a laser printer but it only does black and white. Maybe one day I'll go to a print shop and make some more but right now I've at least got the one.

That's awesome, En Sabah! These may be a bit pricey but I bought this and a pacman hallmark ornament and they are very nicely detailed:
Also does sound effects from the games and lights up
