Love this thread! I always like figuring out creative playsets. Does anybody have any experience re-painting those Imaginext playsets as more realistic? I'm planning to re-paint one of the Batmobiles, and depending on how well that goes I was thinking of doing the same to their playsets.

I'm compiling this one now. Worked on the image a bit tonight.... it's a great example of this playset, and honestly it's a great playset period. One of my favorites, maybe only second to the G.I. Joe ARAH Headquarters.

It's so well done in it's simplicity and it's not overloaded with weird gimmicks. It's basically a firehouse, as it should be. You can put an Ecto-1 in it!

Off the top of my head, the only two things I would change would be the addition of four more walls and a floor piece to make a containment unit basement so you could keep the garage doors at ground level; and some Kenner-styled proton pack racks on the garage floor would've been pretty awesome.... Even if it was just a single separate molded piece to plug the backpack pegs onto.

How well does that work with 6 inch figures?

It doesn’t. 6” figures will not fit in the second and third levels of the building. It does, however, make for a great backdrop. Especially the front and brick side of the building.

I was more wondering about the front, yeah. Like if I had a 6 inch figure in front, would it look alright

I haven't done a papercraft custom playset in a while but I got motivated last night and did this in about an hour.

I downloaded the Cloud City playset from Erikstormtrooper's site some time ago but have never tried to make it, but I took a couple of pieces of it this morning, dropped them into Paint, and made this. Droids for scale.

Readysetz has 2 new playsets up for preorder for 6" figures. If they are true to form, there should be 4" versions to follow. They are a military base and a Haunted House.
