I've only ever seen these online. Aren't a lot of the playsets made of paper? Or is that something else?

I think that's something else.

These were from the late 70's. You can see in the Bat Cave photo that it has a cardboard back, but the majority of it is molded plastic.

I still have them somewhere. I have Aquaman, Green Goblin Spiderman and the Hulk. If I can find them I will. I'd never seen some of the ones in the pics you posted. Most of us are to young to even have these. lol
