Where are the vehicles in the Marvel Universe line? Counting variants, Hasbro has released more than 150 Marvel Universe figures, but not a single vehicle, playset or large-sized animal. By the time the 1980s G.I. Joe line passed a 150 figures, it had dozens of vehicles, playsets, accessory packs, robots, cannons and the U.S.S. Flagg. I'm not saying go crazy and start putting out ATVs with SHIELD logos painted on the front, but the occasional flaming motorcycle or Avenger's Quinjet might be a nice touch. Where would the Star Wars line be without X-Wings and TIE Fighters?
Likewise, vehicles appear to have been struggling in the G.I. Joe brand lately as well. I hate to say it, but I'm beginning to wonder if vehicles aren't going the same route as playsets when it comes to the "play patterns" of kids these days. By the same token I'd also add: Vehicles are far less important to the Marvel Universe mythos than G.I. Joe or Star Wars. I'd argue about the only "absolutely essential" vehicle would be Ghost Rider's motorcycle, because it's such an inseparable aspect of the character. Yeah, having Blackbirds and Quinjets and such would be nice, but they're not absolutely necessary. To put it another way: In Star Wars and G.I. Joe the vehicles are a necessary and inseparable part of the plot, and in some cases almost become "characters" in and of themselves and are heavily involved in the action of the story. In the Marvel Universe, vehicles are most often just a way to get a superhero team from point A to point B where they can all jump out and beat on the bad guy. They're just a conveyance, not so much a critical part of the action (usually). Last edited by Jmacq1; 03-16-2011 at 08:23 AM.. |

Regarding posts like the one Jmacq1 just made. Isn’t this thread just for asking Hasbro questions? Not for clogging with speculative/argumentative posts with no information?

What's the status on the Black Widow/unmasked Iron Man & War Machine 3 pack that was to be a Target exclusive?. It was announced for Fall 2010 but has yet to show up

If that's the case, then a moderator can feel free to remove it and/or ask me to remove it and I won't have a problem with it. Of course, that means your own post will need to do the same, since it is equally irrelevant to the purpose of "asking Hasbro questions" and offers "no information."

Sorry if this one has been asked already, I didn't have time to scroll through three pages of posts to find out...
My Question: Has the Black Widow, Unmasked Iron Man/War Machine 3-pack been canceled or can we expect to see it at some point?" Thank you. Edit: Of course, after posting, I see the person just two posts above mine asked the same question. Sorry. I'd still like it answered by Hasbro. Thanks again. |

You need not worry, I can assure you, only questions get sent to Hasbro.

Yes, we know Iron Man is a popular core character that lends himself to multiple versions, but he's choking the pegs across two lines. It's looking like demand for Iron Man figures has been met and exceeded. Have you considered putting Iron Man on "hiatus" in the Marvel Universe line for the better part of 2011 (and maybe a good chunk of 2012 and 2013)?
Speaking of Iron Man, in the Armored Avenger line, are there any plans for more comic-themed figures or at least all/mostly new figures (Black Widow and Armored Movie Whiplash, for example) as opposed to endless repaints of the various "concept" armors? How about a more available release of the final comic wave of the Iron Man 2 line (Mandarin, Modern War Machine, Comic Whiplash, etc...) which never seemed to materialize at general retail? It also helps if the question doesn't fit into Hasbro/Marvel's rules about Q&A questions.

the reason their choking pegs is due to the fact that stores were full of the first few waves but when the new figures do hit the isles their grabbed up right away. I don't think the line should be put on hiatus. Its just the stores that take forever to get the lines in.
That's not even getting started on the Iron Man 2 leftovers. Regardless of whose fault it is, Hasbro isn't going to help the situation by shipping more of a character that's already choking the pegs. There's maybe ONE version of Iron Man that fans seem to want in significant numbers (The 90's Modular Armor/"Marvel vs. Capcom" Armor), and I guarantee that it would end up pegwarming along with the other Iron Men after collectors had their fill. I think the main problem is that they all look too similar so parents aren't likely to make an Iron Man figure a "casual buy" for a kid, because their kid probably already has one or two Iron Man figures that look "close enough" to be the same figure. |

In the past, Hasbro Toy Shop offered stands for Star Wars figures. Any chance of offering Marvel Universe stands especially since the series 1 figures did not come with any?

I don't know if this questions has been asked, so I'll ask anyways.
Does the Hasbro team plan on making more figures that are not from the main marvel universe? |

What type of Hip articulation can we expect from newly sculpted bucks in the Marvel legends line? Can we expect full ball swivel hip articulation like Warpath, Deadpool, Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, and Ares, or limited articulation like: Adam Warlock, Black Bolt, Astonishing Beast, Spiral and Tigra? I would prefer full ball swivel hip joints myself.

Where is the predicted new wave of figures, considering they should have made their way to us by now?

I'm scratching up a sky-cycle for Hawkeye/Cap. It would be the easiest thing to make vehicle-wise- it's just a windshield, seaton a box and stick! The handlebars come from those off suxtion cup things free with GI Joe movie figs.
Once they make the Black Knight, I hope they make his "atomic steed"- another multiuse Avengers vehicle (and small too!). A lot of GI JOe stuff works great for MU displays- jet packs in particular work great for AIM, HYDRA or SHIELD soldiers. Of course, the ultimate MU vehicle is the SHIELD Flying Car- and there was a fullsized version shown at Megacon promoting the Thor/Cap movies, so maybe we'll see one on the big scareen and maybe a toy will follow! What do you all want to see? |

Why would you suggest a horse for ghost rider when clearly all the fans want a GR bike why not make a horse for Black Knight a figure that actually uses a horse

the "atomic steed" is not a horse- it's sorta a flying motorcycle for one or two people.
Lookie! Marvel Legends made one for their Hawkeye: http://www.oafe.net/yo/art/ml7_hawk6.jpg OAFE - ML7: Hawkeye review Lets your "costumed athletes" like Hawkeye be flyers. Price point has to be a concern here- people want a figure with whatever vehicle, so something comparitivly small with say, a Black Knight figure would likely not cost more than a standard two-pack. Though I agree with a motorcycle for GR- as long as it's not the lameness from that Nick Cage movie, anyway! My big questions: -Will we see additional "army builders" figures? Kree, Dire Wraiths, female Hydra, SHIELD and AIM figures etc.? -Are there plans to make 3.75" figures for the upcomng X-Men First Class movie? -Will you show us additional "teaser silouettes" of upcoming figures? I really like the last round (and many are still not out!) - Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 04-09-2011 at 03:04 PM.. |

Why the hell is so hard to figure out when figures are gonna show up in stores? Imagine if movie release dates were played out the same way?

My local Toys R Us has- I kid you not- seriously dusty GI Joes from the movie where the MU line is supposed to be. They suck bigtime. My local Target had noting but IM2 pegwarmers for months, with barely an AIM soldier to represent the MU line and suddenly they have all the revision cases and I'm doinga weekly happy dance as i fill holes in my collection with figs I've never ever seen in person! |

What decides which characters are put into production? I've noticed the "Fan's Choice" stuff, so where are these suggestions actually coming from, a comic convention or something?

As for other figure choices, I think that's been covered before, but not sure how much the answers have since changed. Quote:

That has more to do with retailers that hasbro has no control over except for when rebranded lines launch. Even then not all stores follow street dates.
