I was interested until I read it was going to be a continuation of the 80s series. I just don't get why. That show was plotless and had no character development whatsoever. Meanwhile, the 2002 series had many plots and lots of character development that got unresolved by premature cancelation. If any He-Man series deserves a continuation it is THAT one!

The 80’s version is the one with the nostalgia. That’s why. Just because the 1980’s version required a return to the status quo at the end of each episode for syndication reasons doesn’t mean Netflix will be the same. I’m just glad they are bringing back He-Man at all. With the constant reboots of transformers and Tmnt every couple of years, it’s been a long while since we had a He-man cartoon.

Conan's body does look a little too exaggerated for his head...specifically his shoulders look ridiculously huge. I wonder if they'll go deep with the Destroyer movie...it'd be kind of cool to get a Grace Jones figure lol.
I'm with you on this one man, people keep calling them random guards but these guys were like Doom's trusted acolytes.

I too wish the proportions were more human, but the head sculpts are dope at least

The problem isn't their presence, the problem is the absence of Valeria and Subotai.

Well no it's not a problem at all actually. It'd be a problem if they were multiple waves in and they still haven't been made but this is only the first wave.

First and maybe last.

Since Conan is in the "one-off" category, it might not get a second wave. If it proves popular enough they could do that, but there aren’t any more waves planned like with Thundercats or Turtles to my understanding.

I am so happy this is happening. Picking up from the old show. I Love that. I Hope for an air date & trailer soon. They need to do that with G1 Transformers. Oh i hope they do more then 6 episodes a season.

Yes, it is. As RamenRider says it seems likely there will only be one wave. One film wave missing half the films main cast is a problem, there's no point buying supporting characters if I'm never going to get all the mains and I'm sure I won't be the only one who feels that way.

Yeah, its possible there isn't going to be a dedicated second wave but that doesn't mean S7 couldn't plug one or two characters into a future 'one off' wave. Anyway, I think I'd rather see them do a Conan from the first movie before they get to Valeria, Akiro, etc. That seems strange to mix it up like that.

The NECA cartoon turtles figures are fantastic, but for folks like myself who were always way more into the actual toys than the shows(this includes MOTU), Super7's doing god's work with these vintage-aesthetics figures with updated articulation and accessories.

Seeing these conjure up that feeling we had as kids again. They're like what the toys were like in our memories (best toys int he world), instead of the actual toys if you were to pick them up today (actually quite lacking by today's standards in both sculpt and articulation).

These are the polar opposite of the ReAction line: banking on nostalgia, but actually tweaking them for the modern era of collector figures, instead of producing cheap figure that needlessly retain the worst parts of figures past.

Well said.

I'm eager to see how Super 7 can turn the godawful Playmates version of Shredder into a figure that actually looks cool. I always hated the costume design for the toy version of Shredder back then.

I wonder if Super 7 will eventually do this hilarious April variant...

TOTALLY AGREE! Playmates Shredder never made sense... not accurate to any source, anorexic, and just overall a horrible figure. Couldn’t wait to get the super shredder figure just to finally get a shredder that could stand straight.

Hooker April was, and is, a horrible toy. Hopefully it, and many of the later series, never get revisited as toys... Ground Chuck, Wingnut, Manta Ray, etc can all stay in the 80’s as far as I’m concerned. They were travesties in the 80’s and signs of the apocalypse in 2019 or later.

For secondary characters I hope for Fugitoid and Usagi Yojimbo the most since those have ties to the original Mirage comics and not just the cartoon/toy line. The Playmates versions stayed mostly faithful to the how those two characters were originally depicted in the comics, so I hope Super 7 revisits them at some point.

While I do admire the direction Super7 is taking with the TMNT line, I can’t get fully onboard with the re-vintage lines. I have a decent amount of vintage figures, and that’s really all collectors could get for many years if you wanted to collect TMNT figures. I’m at the point where I want to collect TMNT stuff that’s as far from Playmates Toys as possible, and I feel like this is pretty much the same stuff we already have seen for years.
Aside from that, the weapons rack is a terrible idea if you have to cut the weapons out. $45 figure with that cheap gimmick? No thanks! Hopefully it’s a hidden peg system or just a extra throwback accessory. I’ll buy Raphael to start, he seems to look most different, pass on the rest.

I'm still pumped ThunderCats Classics is going to continue!
I have all the Mattel ones (Pumyra is still sealed because she used to be the curse stand-in for Cheetara which I hated and which made me sell all my vintage Cats in the 90's, - for hoping Classics would continue I left Classics Pumyra sealed all this time lol)

I will be getting Super7's re-releases for the extra accessories, Especially Mumm-Ra is amazing with BOTH soft goods and sculpted plastic! That is genius!!! The 2 camps divided no longer XD
I prefer soft goods for capes usually so he is a must have for me.
I can't wait to add Cheetara, Tygra, Snarf and Jaga to complete the core Cats and S-s-Slythe, Monkian, Vultureman, Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living Warrior, then dive into the Amazons, Berbils, etc, etc. I will go all-in on this line!

Movie Conan is a must buy for me, he looks awesome and fits right in with MOTUC! Rexor & Thorgrim are cool to add and I'm hoping for a good Thulsa Doom! I didn't like the Super7 Comic Conan and was hoping for something better later on, this definable is it!
Scenes from Thulsa Doom's trusted acolytes:

Conan vs Rexor: https://youtu.be/a4cCvj0G3zU
Conan vs Thorgrim: https://youtu.be/TOupN6XeBN0

The SUper7 TMNT are interesting. I have a near complete Playmates TMNT collection with just the unique characters (not many variants, I am missing the rare ones like Scratch, Hot Spot, Shogun Shaote etc.) so these won't really replace them, but to have larger modern articulated versions is cool. I will probably cherry pick from this line to a certain degree.

I like the way the Super7 Raph looks with the alt head sculpt, I'll pick him up for sure. Splinter looks decent and if anything could pass as a Mirage version to go with the old NECA figures. Foot Soldier is a maybe, I like the NECA versions, have 4x so far and they are potentially more affordable if NECA releases them better (crossing fingers for that upcoming Foot Soldier 2-pack). Baxter however is probably a pass. I am hoping for a pre-mutated Baxter. I feel my vintage Baxter could fill the figure spot and since he's mutated from a fly his size can be debatable imho. That mouser is awesome and I'm hoping for a single multi-pack down the line!

Overall these TMNT are great and will look perfect with Toxie as well.

Super7 is doing a great job so far and it lessens the disappointing news that Mattel blocks Super7 from Classics for now.

Are the Thundercats based on the toyline or the cartoon, because the old Toyline only has like 30 something figures. There were 130 episodes from the 80s. I'm guessing the figures will be based on the cartoon

They said they're pulling from both the toys and animation.

Super7 would be nuts not to make a Conan figure with the look in this clip

Yeah, that's the one I'm hoping for.
I'm also hoping they'd do a pit fighter/gladiator version-they could go crazy with the accessories and alternate parts to cover all the different looks he had during that montage.
I'd also be down for the movie poster look, which is kind of similar to his pit fighter look.

The Four Horseman have put up a pic on Instagram comparing their Raph to the original figure. Link below.
