Who can we send mean tweets or letters to to make the Turtles from NECA happen? Is it Nickelodeon or something like that?

Most SDCC exclusives are just that
First Gokin Shredder is probably $145 + shipping. You can buy the NECA Shredder and Foot clan for a little more on ebay. Otherwise, good luck finding a quality Licensed Shredder. Where are the people on here that were interested in the Prime 1 statues, Good Smile, Mondo, SH, Sideshow? You have to pay up for good qualtity TMNT collectibles.
Also, am I the only one to buy SDCC stuff on ebay?

I'd love to get that Foot Clan box set, but I have no doubt that market forces are going to make it an unattainable price.

Difference is, the $200 on ebay is just supporting some cheeto-crusted scalper that is taking advantage of a sh!!y situation. The Neca figures are $25 retail figures being artificially exaggerated in price. While it's impossible to know the exact $$ on costs of a third party product due to limited runs, as someone who has purchased a TON of 3rd party Transformer figures, I can say that usually those exceed the quality of licensed products. So while I will be paying more for First Gokin Shredder, there is a good chance he'll be a better product than the artificially expensive Neca one. For $25, I'd easily buy the Neca Shredder, but not for $50+. I've had enough Neca products to know they aren't worth $50... So I'll patiently wait for the inevitable bootleg or the First Gokin Shredder, whichever comes first. I support Chinese sweatshop labor before I'll support nerd scalpers.

That is way too expensive for a figure of a little girl.

This sucks, starting to become way too difficult to get the stuff you want without paying scalper fees. I'm close to just packing it in and selling off my entire collection. Maybe buy a car or something.

I've been to SDCC the last 2 years, it's not cheap to go! I don't blame someone for selling these for more than they cost. Also, the set is $100 not $25. I saw the set of Foot clan sell for $170 on ebay which is nearly the same price as the First Gokin Shredder. Way cooler too IMO. Also, the First Gokin figures aren't very solid figures. The plastic is a bit on the flimsy side.

I've toyed with that notion as a result of the last few NECA announcements. After all, they're the first to say it's the fans who keep the show on the road, but we're getting treated badly here for no real reason. Goodwill is a two way street.

People are losing their shit on Facebook. Some are calling for a boycott on NECA, which is just way crazy.

On a positive note, I just saw on the NECA twitter feed that there will be a way to get Newt by the year end. Nice to know.

@NewtGate
This is the first time I've seen exclusivity deals draw this much ire, and it's seemingly because of how popular the IPs in question are.

It's consumer-healthy as far as I'm concerned. And a debate needs to be had in NECA too; the world is littered with companies that were overtaken as a result of hubris in the face of consumer anger. There's always an upstart.

Plus I'd really hate to see ALL of NECA's great work get somewhat sullied over dick moves, unintentional or otherwise. They're one of the greatest toy companies ever for many reasons, but that's precisely why they can't be doing this every year with their biggest selling lines.

Most people on Facebook just troll NECA 24/7 anyway, there's a reason Randy mainly uses Twitter to actually talk to fans and not be constantly ridiculed. Also a boycott just sounds silly, they're doing too much cool stuff the rest of this year for a select few of exclusives to turn people completely off and honestly how many people are gonna hold to it when push comes to shove.

We'll just have to agree to disagree and part friends.

haven't seen any prices for this yet, and Lunar Toy Store, who seems to get the first-hand news from First Gokin said they don't expect an eta or price point til mid-June, so I'll take that price with a grain of salt.
