There's no department for that stuff at Mattel any longer. Their entire collector division is gone.

They're doing a Marvel Legends 5- Figure 6" Scale Thor Set, a 12" Daredevil, a GI Joe Set, and multiple Transformers.

In the video it lights up with the box - dingy know if that is just a box feature though of if the figure will light up on its own.

Just as my Hot Wheels collecting has drastically slowed down, Mattel announces a vehicle that has me more excited than anything they've released in YEARS, but, I won't be able to get it without paying Ebay prices

There's always hope. They generally do just repaints for the convention exclusives or some kind of exclusive diorama/packaging, such as the under construction USS Enterprise with Dry Dock, or the Back to the Future DeLorean with Clock Tower diorama and plutonium chest case. That said, if the one you're after is the Dead-Buggy...that could be an issue.

And I appreciate the need for upgrading the Batmobile to take on Darkseid's parademons, but I hope that Batman downgrades the vehicle's weaponry by the time his solo film rolls around. Personally, I think the car looked its best in Suicide Squad when it didn't have that machine gun on the front of it.

Speaking of...what's the story with the Hot Wheels Elite line? Is it dead? If so, that's immensely disappointing.
