3.75" Iron Man 2 Classic Iron Monger & Arctic Iron Man Revealed - Marvel - MarvelousNews.com

Personally I think these look badass

ludovicotek 07-08-2010 04:06 PM

^ I agree. I just hope I actually see them in stores. The pegs are still flooded with the first waves and it doesn't look like they're going anywhere.

Snowflakian 07-08-2010 05:06 PM

Kohls might be your best bet to find new ones. Worked for me with the hulkbuster wave.

eisen 07-08-2010 05:51 PM

oh hell yeah! i can't wait to get that wave! i'm mst excited about the Modern "tin man" armor, the ML equivalent was by far my most favorite during it's time and i'm glad to see this smaller, upgraded version, but that arctic armor will definitely get the Iron Patriot treatment.

brianregan09 07-08-2010 06:07 PM

Yeah that Blue Comic Iron Monger looks brilliant, can't say much for the other two though?? Still probaly end up e-baying these like the last wave cos there still stuck on wave 1 here too

Tarquinius 07-08-2010 06:08 PM

Continuing on what SnowFlakian said

Uncommon places that have these figures; Iron Man 2 is obviously huge so a lot of basic stores will carry a few figures for sale appeal, though it may be jacked up.

In my area I use:

FYE (For your Entertainment)
Suncoast
Walgreens
CVS
Kohls
Grocery Stores (depends on the franchise owner)

RenegadeReviews 07-08-2010 07:45 PM

I'll get the other two, but don't see myself getting Iron Monger.

jamesmruddy 07-08-2010 08:25 PM

These look great, I have throughly enjoyed this entire line so far. Just wish that the local stores would do better at getting them in.

Agreed! The tin man looks great. I must get the Iron Monger as well.

behindthemask 07-08-2010 11:34 PM

blue monger looks sick and the scale is perfect as it completely blocks out the diagram card... lol looks slightly bigger then the hulkbuster... they all look great.. so many figure so little money lol

trebleshot 07-09-2010 08:43 AM

Iron Man 2 Comic Series Wave 3

jamesmruddy 07-09-2010 08:45 AM

Those look great. Also has anyone seen the Mark V 6in figure at their Walmarts yet?

I think the 6" figures have come and gone. They were pretty limited in their release.

ShawnDustin 07-09-2010 09:07 AM

Cannot wait for these.......

Nightrain 07-09-2010 09:17 AM

I would get Monger even though I just said at TFW that I wasn't buying anymore of these lol

nomad1632 07-09-2010 10:00 AM

these are great figures I want that modern iron man thats tops for me might get the others all depends. I just hope the distributions gets better I I got my hulkbuster through hasbrotoyshop cause I got tired of waiting for the stores to get em.

Re: Iron Monger

i REALLY hate when they do comic figs that were meant to be black/dark grey in blue ~ the only reason Iron Monger was Blue in the comics was because back in the day (pre glossy stock) it was really hard to print black tonally, so they'd use Blue as a substitute ~ I hate when they do the blue highlights on black-costume Spidey for the same reason...

nice looking mold though.

Was the Tin Man Iron Man the pre-extremis version?

Arctic Iron Man looks like a future peg-warmer.

astig 07-09-2010 10:13 AM

Oh man these look nice! I would like to pick them up but it's highly unlikely that i'll be seeing them here in my area.

behindthemask 07-09-2010 10:37 AM

jameslruddy.... in response, I actually picked up a Mark V yesterday from my local Walmart, there was like 5-6 left but only 1, the 1 I got had no paint issues... the rest had the helmet jacked up the red line going down the top of the mask was sometimes not perfect, bleeding onto the silver parts so took me a while to find a good 1, they are out there.... some stores just take longer bring in additional waves... usually they judge on how they sell, if they sell fast the keep reordering same amount, and each time it can be a different wave then the last... I've got my walmart exclusives war machine, Mark v and iv, so pretty content... but if i found a whiplash, nick furry or black widow I'd pick em up in a heart beat... the only figures I haven't seen that I should of are the MARK 1 and the deep sea diver.. I have them in 3 3/4'' scale but not 6 but it does show em on the back of the package,,.. anybody come across these in 6'' format?

It can be annoying, but I think it's fine as long as a properly-colored version is released as well. And given Hasbro's penchant for redecos, it might eventually happen.

Correct, although there were a few more versions/variants in between the two. Exclesior07's excellent thread here is my go-to source on Tony's many, many armors.

I see him as custom fodder, specifically for Iron Patriot. Hopefully, that will make sure he doesn't collect dust for too long. I'm more worried about more Red & Gold armors. Those already pegwarm around here, along with tons of the Mark VI.

CrownCoke 07-09-2010 11:19 AM

I am liking the way that this Iron Monger looks. I can see me picking one up to convert over into Apocolypse. Then, with ArchAngel and a few other customs, the 4Horsemen of Apocolypse can ride.

Spekkio 07-09-2010 12:26 PM

Front page spelling error: Artic instead of Arctic.

...still haven't seen anything other than Mark VI and War Machine in 6"....

Got it, thanks.

prowl26 07-09-2010 02:19 PM

I want the Iron Monger to repurpose into a Cobalt Man, I am ok with movie verse Iron Monger and then combined with IM, Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man I can have a royal smackdown on shellhead! What's with the new hips?

Sorry to say but those weren't 6inch figures they were the 3.75 figures they were used as filler images...and to prove that look at the articulation its identical to the 3.75 figures. the 6inch figures have completely different joints as in the knee and elbow joints.

Yes their the 3.75 no denying it.
