SDCC Exclusive Speculations

Because thats what we as collectors do! Speculate.

What do you think will appear for SDCC in terms of exclusives. Oddly enough SDCC is barely 3 months away and we haven't heard anything save for the Sentinel.

I'd ask that we try to speculate realistically though...

Tarquinius 05-16-2011 06:34 PM

In the past, Hasbro has really only offered us the most popular characters as exclusives; Captain America, Spiderman etc.

I'd put money down on the fact that between the Avengers movie, Thor and Cap that we will probably get some iteration of those figures.

Maybe like a movie Avengers boxset?
What would be even better is if they did an Ultimate (comic) Avengers boxset. It fits Hasbro's criteria perfectly...reuse two figures (Ultimate Cap and Ultimate Iron man), do a piece meal Ultimate Thor which would be their selling point and throw in a Hulk.

OR

Maybe............JUST MAYBE. They will give us that SHIELD car as an exclusive /droooollsss/

AndyCR75 05-16-2011 06:37 PM

Between the Giant Sized XMen and variant, Wave 13 and Cable variant, comic book 2-packs, New Caps, etc etc etc..I don't think my mind can handle speculation!!

omega145 05-16-2011 06:39 PM

Maybe another wolverine!

jamesmruddy 05-16-2011 06:41 PM

Maybe something Cosmic Cube related. Remember the Star Wars collector cases that were shaped like Darth Vader and C3PO. A Cosmic Cube collector case would be awesome.

MasterSock 05-16-2011 07:08 PM

I would love an ultimate avenger!

MasterSock 05-16-2011 07:33 PM

Or a Thor comic warrior 3 , odin, and the gate keeper.

Jason Abbadon 05-16-2011 07:34 PM

Jason's Top Ten SDCC Exclusive figure pics:

10.) Hawkeye from the Thor movie appearance.

9.) Professor X in a wheelchair ('cause kiddies love the disabled non-action figures!)

8.)Agent Coleson!

7.) That IM2 Black Widow that never happened!

6.) Green Hand Ninjas!

5.) Wolverine in his Fang outfit!

4.) Headless (and armless) Sabertooth!

3.) Pepper Potts!

2.) Squirrell Girl!

1.) The Invisible Woman (empty blister card)!

....I would so buy that.
That's my sense of humor, though.

Static22 05-16-2011 09:24 PM

whats the point, hasbro has not shown us anything, they are all talk and they never answer our q and a 's I HATE HASBRO for leaving us in the dark yet again, so far we were supposed to get answers on April 11th and May 16th and nada, no explanation, no apologies just nothing, lying pieces of ****

...Seriously?

That's your contribution to the discussion? A poorly-conceived rant so filled with hate and vitriol that's barely even on topic?

First off, Hasbro hasn't shown anyone their SDCC exclusives yet. That's kinda the point of this thread - for us to guess what they will be, at least as far as Marvel stuff goes.

Second, if they haven't answered our questions, how could they possibly be lying to us?

Third, Hasbro doesn't owe us a damn thing. If they wanted to stop all Q&A's from this point forward, they would be well within their rights to do it. They don't have to tell us anything, but in the past Hasbro has been kind enough to offer this method of communication with fan sites and the fans.

So we haven't gotten answers back yet. So what? It's happened before, so my advice is don't get too bent out of shape about it.

Anyway, back on topic.

A Black Widow figure would be interesting, though I don't recall Hasbro doing anything specifically movie-related at SDCC. Usually it's comic versions of characters that are prominent now.

I think Tarq's idea of an Ultimate Avengers set is really good and definitely sounds like something Hasbro would do.

I hope it happens. Im jonesing for an ultimate Thor badddddddddd.

And how awesome would it be if they actually gave us at least one other new fig we don't have? WE know in any exclusive pack of figures..there will most likely be remolds or reuses. So go 2 for 5 would be so incredibly worth it.

Tarquinius 05-17-2011 08:27 AM

GOOD NEWS GUYS!

I actually got kind of in a research mood...and I found this.

Hasbro has released a list of exclusives:

Static you'll be happy to know they are offering a 6inch Heroic Age Thor

DAMNSSSS YOU! I wanted Pics with your Picks! Don't say "Pics" and leave us hanging! :)

BTW, great list, I agree but may I add one more that would kill me if it were only a SDCC option:

11) Udon Task Master

Last year they did the Marvel Universe Spider-Man with Movie Costume. That counts as movie-related? no?

Redlantern161 05-17-2011 02:54 PM

Well we know of the Modern Thor & Sentinel coming out but I would love to see AXM Wolverine (MU), X Force Wolverine (ML), X Force Deadpool (ML), Bleeding Edge Iron Man (ML), Professor X (MU), The Void, Nova (Richard Rider in his current costume) etc

vwong19 05-17-2011 06:16 PM

I'd like if they offer a Series 1 MU figure stand service pack or a carded Nick Fury... 2nd time going to Comic-con, last year I wasn't into collecting, but this year i'm all in.

No MU figure? BOO!

Wanna see what that sentinel can do though! Knee joints and hip ball swivels would make for some awesome mutant-stompin' action scenes! the MU Colussus could be under one Sentinel boot, holding it up from crushing him...
An extra Kitty figure could be neatly sawed in half to appear to be "phasing: through the sentinel's chest, you name it!
