Club Infinite Earths Flash now shipping!

I got my confirmation from Matty this morning:

Thanks for ordering from MattyCollector.com on August 3, 2011. We've got good news... your order has shipped! Your card has now been charged, so look for DRI*MattyCollector on your billing statement.

Here are the details of your order:
Shipping Summary
Product Name Qty Ordered Qty Shipped Total Qty Shipped Amount
Club Infinite Earths 2012 Subscription - Initial Figure 1 1 1 $15.00
Shipping: $8.70
Total: $58.14
Question though, is anyone else getting charged nearly $50 extra on their statement?

darkjokerzin 05-19-2012 10:00 AM

Ya I got charged the same too, been trying to figure out what the other amount is for.

thechris 05-19-2012 10:04 AM

I think (I hope) it's for Metron. I recall they said that we would be charged for him when our first figure shipped? Could be wrong, though.

Tiberius 05-19-2012 10:05 AM

Doesn't it cost 50 bucks to be a club member?

It is probably for Metron or the membership fee. I didn't subscribe for the club, but I did order a Golden Age Flash and I got my shipping notice as well.

Crazy Jetty 05-19-2012 10:07 AM

I believe they said when we joined that they would charge half of the admission fee then, and half when the first figure was ready.

I was just wanting confirmation from someone else they got the same thing charged to them.

Would have been nice of Matty to actually mention it in the invoice, but oh well.

Got my shipping notice as well. Mine was $57.73. Breaks out as follows:

$15 for Jay Garrick
$8.70 for shipping

That leaves $34.03. The club membership fee was $30. Found that statement here. Sales tax where I am is 7.5%. As best as I can figure, the $34.03 is:

$30 membership fee
sales tax on the $30 membership fee, the $15 for Jay Garrick, and the $8.70 for shipping Jay Garrick.

Now the question is. . .should they be charging tax on the shipping cost?

thechris 05-19-2012 11:48 AM

It's definitely tax because I wasn't charged tax (Canada). There is no membership fee, per se. The full amount goes towards Metron in his Mobius chair. The subscription is basically free, you're just commited to buying every figure.

So far I only needed Jay Garrick and I GOT Jay Garrick, with a few minutes to spare! I think I remember seeing something about Metal Men somewhere? Either way, getting them too if they come out.
