Wow, that's an impressive set but an equally difficult price to swallow. Even the Amazon pre-order seems a bit much. On the other hand, you do get quite a lot for your coinage.

I'm probably still going to pick up the 4-disk Avengers set and call it a day, but maybe I'll get that 10-disk set next year when the tax man doth cometh.

Any word on the size of this set? What I mean is, I'd hate to order it just to find out that the briefcase is only slightly larger than a lunchbox and the cosmic cube is completely puny.

I'll definitely get it if it's as big as it it was in the movies.

It's hard to tell without some other reference points.

But look at the BD slots to the left and right. Now if those are long enough to fit BD cases (even if it's the slim, DVD-style cases) and each side would hold 5 discs plus bonus materials, then that would make the Cosmic Cube in the case about the size of a Rubik's Cube (and why they didn't make one of those done up like the CC, I'll never know).

Really annoyed no UK retailers have put up pre-orders for this as of now

There's another thread about this Blu-Ray with pics of the each disc's artwork here. Cannot wait for this to be released. I think I'll upgrading my DVDs to Blu-Ray with this set.

Actually, that thread is supposed to be about the Avengers movie on Blu-Ray only. It just happens to come in this set too.

But you have given me a new reason to think about getting this set. I only have Cap and Thor on Blu-Ray so far, so getting the IM and Hulk films upgraded (as well as adding the 4-disc Avengers set to my collection) might be cheaper if I buy this set.

The counterpoint to that is I have absolutely zero interest in the 3D versions of any of these movies. But I guess those 4 extra discs would make a nice coaster set. *shrug*
