Casting questions
Ok I know some of you guys do your own casting, I have finally amid much screaming and a tad bit of blood disassembled a DCUC figure completely, Now I want to cast this sucker so I can have Bucks to do customs on for less than 15 dollars a pop.whats the cost on this stuff and where is the best place to buy it?
what mold medium do you recommend, silicon or Eurythane, also what casting material is besy for a figure? I would like something that is kind flexible? I had to get creative on some of the pieces and slice them in half, so Rigid may work , but better safe than sorry I guess. Also if this one works decently I have a bigger male, a teen male and a female body Ill be trying to make casts of as well. would people be interested in a 1/12 scale accessories and bodies much like broken arrow or trigate? if much how much would you be willing to pay for blank Bucks? Thanks! |
as someone who does casting work i can tell you that if you are concerned about paying 15 bucks a pop for a figure casting is not for you , the molds themselves cost 50 to 60 bucks at least to make and each mold will only produce about 10 to 15 casts...if you are lucky the actual casting g material itself is not that expensive but you do have to buy in somewhat of a bulk to make it worth buying also the main expenses are the little things you will need.. if you really are serious about casting pm me and i can give you more info!
