Black 25th Anniversary 1/60 YF-19
 

Quick question on this figure, is the 25th anniversary lettering on this figure painted on or are they stickers?

Looking at picking this up but will probably have to pass if it has all this 25th anniversary stuff permanently plastered all over it.

I'm not sure, but all the pics I've seen of 25th Macross toys look like it is already on it. I've seen several pics of the 25th VF-1S and they all had it as well.

That looks super neat, shame about those letters all over it. Black repaints should be kept clean.

Lettering is painted on but, "Excalibur" is actually mispelled.

Hah, yes, I'd forgotten about that. "Excalivur", indeed.

This release is just asking for some Mr. Color thinner to strip all that lettering off. It's unfortunately, also quite matte and not glossy like you'd think from looking at the pictures, giving it more of a charcoal black than a showroom black appearance.

I dunno, I just love the regular paint scheme so much, the black one just doesn't do it for me. The 25th black VF-1 on the other hand, I guess since there are so many variants of that VF as it is, I can just get behind it more easily.
