David Vonner Heads To Jazwares

What does this mean? Maybe legit Street Fighter figures? Mortal Kombat figures? THOUGHTS?

David Vonner Heads To Jazwares Inc. - Jazwares Inc - ToyNewsI.com

Maverick 08-09-2012 03:24 PM

Good for jazzwares hopefully we can get better stuff from them now.

Haloid1177 08-09-2012 03:26 PM

It means Jazzware is gonna be making better figures than Hasbro in a few years.

rodimus15 08-09-2012 03:27 PM

Its mean better adventure time figures!!!!!!!!

DogFashionDisco 08-09-2012 03:28 PM

I wish he was around when they did the Assassin's Creed figures. I wanted a DaVinci figure.

Nexodusrex 08-09-2012 03:30 PM

so does this mean that jazwares will have figures whose legs pop off their ball joint almost all the time too?

NoodleChow 08-09-2012 03:35 PM

wonder if they'll bump up the QC on the plastic they use now. generally liked their previous efforts but the addition of Vonner might just polish em up.

Optimus Vader 08-09-2012 03:41 PM

Too bad he didn't head over to Mattel.

That won't be any better than the crappy 4" street fighter figures. Those joints pop off worse than mu, even at the abdomen. I don't know whats worse, marvel showdown or the street fighter figs.

MK wasn't too bad. The horrendous figures were raiden and baraka though. The ninjas were fine.

I hope david can bring out better street fighter figures. I need chun li, akuma, and bison.

Tiberius 08-09-2012 03:45 PM

Curious if Mattel even tried to contact him..

M3T4L V1KING 08-09-2012 03:49 PM

I'm guessing nothing is going to change. Vonner will probably have great ideas and Jazwares will say "That's awesome! Now let's do it the cheapest way possible."

JazzSanti86 08-10-2012 06:09 AM

it's cool he's got a job (that was never going to be a problem though) but Jazwares? we'll see what comes out of this.

trebleshot 08-10-2012 06:19 AM

While I'm glad he was able to get a new job, I doubt much will change at Jazwares for a while. But I'll certainly keep an eye on the situation as it unfolds.

jaybird7072 08-10-2012 06:35 AM

I just hope they make better sf and .mk figs.

xhavoc86 08-10-2012 04:17 PM

Well it's too late now, they already released the cruddy figures, i doubt they'll redo them...

But maybe next time around which could be years....until then, they should consider Soulcalibur V figures, I NEED A ZWEI and VIOLA stat!

proteus 08-10-2012 04:48 PM

Dude, SO right- I was looking at the SF two packs the other day at TRU (they'll never sell or go down in price) and the quality and proportions are SO BAD. The MK line id worse IMO- paint so sloppy that it looks like a no-name dollar store toy.

Snailbot 08-10-2012 06:34 PM

Theres a Baraka at my local TRU for $3 or $4. I gave serious thought to picking him up but what would I do with him? Not even for custom parts.

fallen69lee04 08-11-2012 12:39 AM

hopefully the street fighter round 2 two packs will finally be release, i really want that akuma and bison!

gunzilla 08-11-2012 12:57 AM

I can only imagine what he can do if they allowed him free reign for their 3 3/4 figs.

That was Unimax & they were at Target. Meijer might still have some.

I do hope we get better SF & MK figures.

Jackieboy 08-11-2012 04:30 AM
