I wonder if this does anything to fix the problems with the QC.

First time I'm seeing stuff from this series, and I really like the design on this one, especially the aft-mounted missile racks and the purple deco.

If this has some MAJOR QC overhauls and redesigns of things like the shoulders, I might, might consider picking it up. That's a pretty big "if" though, and the problem is that it'll be hard to find anyone willing to take the risk and buy one to see if they're fixed :p

Roanstalker 12-01-2008 10:52 AM

You're right :D.

I have all of the MPCs till the New Generation stuff. I don't feel the need to pick these new editions at all.

Same designs and same problems. If you think Hasbro is bad with repacking something in diff colors try this line for a size. 2 aircrafts 6/4 diff colors.

I would like to get the Betas but they are seriously too much $ for me. I'm trying to remain focus on the Joes!

To do that, a major redesign of many integral components such as the arms is necessary. The way that the forearms slide down stresses the bicep connector, and the bicep joints are made from a semi-soft plastic. The forearms are made of diecast metal, so the stress of pulling the forearms down(which are already tight), and the weight make transforming that area a delicate procedure. The shoulder assemblies and hinge rely on friction alone to keep the arms up when posed. Even the shoulder hinge on mine did not have a pin inserted all the way, with the pin falling out, the entire arm falls off. I alleviated this by inserting those twisty ties that Hasbro uses to secure their transformers in the packaging in place of the pin, but this is just a band aid. I honestly with Toynami had started developing this toy from scratch, instead of basing it off of a model kit. This new version is said to have the ratcheted hips that the Aoshima had, and those are a nice improvement, the shoulders definitely need ratchets too.
