Target has Walmart Exclusives?
 

Has anyone else seen this? I was in Target today and they had a few Walmart exclusives from Cars 2. Some still had the Walmart sticker on them and some you could see the residue where the sticker was.

I don't know if it's still this way. But Vizio TV's were supposed to be exclusive to Walmart, yet Target had them at the same time.

I know that Walmart up here had the Target exclusive Iron Man 2 pack.

i think this a huge hoax us pockus seriously exclusives ? i just hate the idea and what you guys say i well i know the reason is to get you in to walmart i bet a comic book store could sell these

Of course, any store could sell them. Getting you into the store of said exclusive is the sole reason they have them.

Probably not normal. . .likely someone bought some toys at Target that they wanted and tried, successfully, to return toys that look alike that they didn't want. It should have not come up when they scanned it at customer service, but with the right person behind the counter they can override it.

We do get a lot of people trying to return items from other stores into ours. At best it's because the person(s) didn't have a receipt and then made the return with just their driver license, although the returned money would have been a lot less than what the original price was.

Now, if we're talking exclusives, then that's odd, such items would not show in our systems, therefore it might have been returns approved by management and placed back in stock.....Has anyone tried purchasing these exclusives?
If so you might get lucky, why? well if it doesn't ring up we'll obligated to look for the price, this means that if the Guest wants the item we will do the best we can to get some one to get the price off the isle/shelve/peg, 9 out 10 times we never get some one to come up and help so we then ask the guest if they saw the price, if management thinks the price adequate to the items then we will give it to you for that price.

The only other times I've see store exclusives from one chain show up at a different chain were just the same toys in new packaging for the newer store. One example was the Walmart IM2 6" figures that got new packaging when Target and TRU started carrying them too. Even Walmart got the new packaging for later waves.

It was almost like a timed exclusivity deal that you usually see in the VG industry.
