Finally a chance at a Tallgeese

NICE! Its not a Heavyarms or Deathscythe but a sweet figure nonetheless.

This tallgeese I is amazing though, going to pose him next to Treize's suit, And since he's a standard release, I'm going to enjoy buying him for 40-45$ on amazon, with free shipping. Oh yeah, I'm liking this. |
hahaha cool.

I still haven't picked up any of the Damashii figures because I'm afraid how much i will spend. If I can limit it to the original five Gundam Wing suits I will be okay maybe. Gotta get that Sandrock. I've been trying to snipe a Wing Zero at a good price but my limit is always too low. |

My goal was to limit myself to EW figures but as of now there are only 2 figures and no upcoming releases. So after I saw Epyon I caved and decided to pick up the rest of the upcoming figures. Nataku is on the way right now. I passed on wing zeros initial release. thankful hes being re-released next month. |
I know they were pretending that was just the way they always looked but it just didn't make sense to me as a continuation of the series. As a stand alone movie they would be cool enough but since they made it in the Gundam Wing universe it takes you out of it a bit. I mean, they didn't change the Leo's or anything else. They just wanted to sell more models lol. I did like the design of the enemy suits in EW a lot better.

the serpents were awesome and I loved Heavy Arms's design...I just wasn't a fan of the angel wing zero even though alot ofpeople loved it

Bandai is starting to really burn a whole in my front pocket. At this rate I'll need to start selling my fillings.
But YES TALLGEESE I. THIS IS A GLORIOUS DAY. Gonna have to prolly not preorder this thing though. And I love Tallgeese III. Its mix and match look is pretty cool for me at least. |
Man I'm so excited for this, have 2 of each wing suit so far, might go 3 with this one though. Really thinking heavyarms is after this as that was a pretty epic fight and they usually get paired up, and then deathscythe hell. Will be the ultimate release!! Man I'm happy

Oh and just noticed they fixed the head problem with the 2 and 3. Now it turns like the one from the people expansion set

When ROBOT Damashii came on the scene, the main draw was that it was a mix of plastics but not predominantly PVC. It's like a spiritual successor to MSiA! but with more harder plastic and better articulation. It seems to be the "go-to" line for mecha action figures by Bandai, like their S.H. Figuarts line is for live-action/tokusatsu/anime/manga characters while D-Arts is for video game characters. Quote:
This is why many of the Endless Waltz designs look like the original offscreen designs. Many of the original designs have been altered for that EW manga that features said designs(I have no idea when the hell that one takes place nor know much about it, but the recent Master Grades are based on it). Katoki aimed to make the Endless Waltz designs more feminine than Okawara's TV designs. Note the shorter torsos, small waists, long legs, cherub wings, smaller heads, et al. Like you, I worry about how much I will spend in the line, because one figure at least is $30+. Collecting was much easier with MSiA! because they used to be $15 at most at KB toys back when it was around. Sign of the times I guess. However these Robot Damashii figures are much better than MSiA! so, well that does amount to something. Quote:

...and there we have it folks, maybe Heavy Arms and Wing Gundam 1 are next... Quote:

Yeah on the tallgeese 2 and 3 the head is attached to the clavicle piece, which really restricts head movement side to side the changed it with the Leo's expansion set head and now on this, im liking it

Heavyarms Custom is cool but I felt like it was a bit too much going on (90's extreme style) and I liked the color scheme on the series Heavyarms (my favorite Gundam). If it still had the knife and shield somewhere it would be more practical. Quote:
Back in like '00/'01 when these started to come out most were like $10 where I lived in Colorado. The US MSIA was the first toy line I actively collected without realizing it as I was too young to think of such things. I ending up with over a hundred of those things. I had probably every single US release, at least all the U.C. stuff. Had most of the G-Gundam and Gundam Wing ones too. A lot of them I found at various stores like Media Play for $5. Those were the days. If I ever saw those things on shelves again I'd probably cry a little for the nostalgia. They were good for their time but not great figures. I do miss my army sometimes. |
