how to delete or rename thread
 

Hi,

How do you delete or rename a thread you created in the market place?

Basically just want to delete all threads i created in the "Wanted Items" and "Buy Sell Trade".

A member of staff can delete them, or change the title. My suggestion would be to have one BST thread for everything you have have to sell/trade and one Wanted thread for things you're interested in getting. It saves you the trouble of creating individual threads for every item/interest, and makes sure that the threads don't become obsolete.

I've deleted the ones you listed, though. If you would like to follow my suggestion, just create the new thread(s) in the appropriate forum(s).

thanks. My suggestion would be to allow people in the marketplace to create, delete and rename threads as they see fit. Having one thread for wants and BST is not useful as no one perusing will say let me see what <board_member_name> has today. But they will look at a thread that's titled with something they want. Its like online ads like on craigs list. If they forced you to title the thread with your name your not going to be able to find anyting you may be looking for. I would add this feature as it would be a huge service to our fellow boardies and less issues for you.

It is useful in that it allows members to stay organized and makes it easier to update by keeping everything in one or two locations. Also, once you've built up trade history, people will hit up your BST directly from time to time just to see what you've got or what you're looking for.

That's why you can always use the Search function to see if anybody has whatever you're looking for, just like on craigslist. It's worked perfectly fine this way across our entire family of sites.
