Painted Marvel Handful of Heroes

Got these Handful of Heroes from a local TRU shop, and tried coloring it using acrylic paints.

here are some of the finished painted HoH:

Sweeeeet. It makes me wonder why Hasbro didn't color them. Oh yeah, cuz they are money grubbing McScrooges.

Considering base plastic figures like that cost less than a penny to produce, the pack they charge $6-$7 for cost them maybe 10 cents to produce and maybe another 25 cents for the packaging

Wow great work and on such a small scale !!!

eisen 03-23-2010 06:42 PM

those look great! now all they need are some bases or a diorama :D

Autobot_Goldbug 03-23-2010 07:10 PM

Cool!
Was there ever an Ant-Man in one of these?

scarecrow 03-24-2010 12:33 AM

There was never an Ant-Man, though he and Wasp would be perfect candidates for crossing over to the MU stuff.

Superquad7 03-24-2010 12:53 AM

Wow, those look nice! I have to echo the sentiment from TTT as well :)

That's what i've been thinking, no antman nor wasp i've seen. but hopefully there will be in future sets, the only antman and wasp on mine are the ones from the Goliath pack in ML series 4:D

I thought these were canceled? My Walmart clearanced all of them out.

RenegadeReviews 03-25-2010 07:32 PM

That looks really sweet... I'd have to grab up an ant man...

appa 03-26-2010 11:43 PM

I really hope there is an antman and a wasp... 'coz the wasp on Secret Wars 2-Pack(Doom and Absorbing Man) is not really on my list... but did you guys know that i bought it only for the wasp? lol.

Johnnyakiba 03-27-2010 07:16 AM

You did exactally what I was thinking for a long time. I have been seeing these in the clearance ailse at Walmart and the idea of painting them seed awsome.

GREAT JOB ON THE PAINT APPS!

appa 03-27-2010 08:35 AM

@Johnnyakiba, Thanks man.

btw, here's some updates on some of the commissioned pieces i did locally for a fellow Marvel Collector.
