Who are the other 3 Iron Man 3 CnC figures?

So I saw at Target yesterday some Iron Man 3 figures that come with CnC pieces to the Iron Monger. However, the package did not state who the 4-6 figures were. Does anyone know?

Also, two other things.

1. Does Hasbro really expect me to trust them to actually ship to stores the remaining 3 figures? The last company that did that failed on that aspect TWICE!

2. Are they really expecting people to wait 6 months before getting a completed Iron Monger?

Ultron
Movie armor Iron man
Movie armor war machine

Movie version Iron man mark 42. Movie version war machine. And classic ultron using the titanium man mold.

snake5289 02-18-2013 09:56 PM

Ditto. Why they waited to put the movie stuff out is a mystery to me.

ams 02-19-2013 07:23 AM

I'm not looking forward to the wait either--but the headless/armless Iron Monger standing on my desk is quite an impressive figure nonetheless.

Uh...

What about Mandarin? Or Pepper? Or even an Avengers characters? Obviously with Ultron they aren't doing movie specifics.

That means there are 3 different versions of Iron Man and 2 different versions of Robbie's armors. Wow, WTF?! Nevermind, I'm not interested any more. Thanks nonetheless.

Isn't one of those more known as a Norman Osborn armor? I really only see 1 figure dedicated to Rhodey. That said, I would have preferred they dropped the Classic armor from wave 1, shifted Ultron to wave 1, and added Mandarin in wave 2.

It's actually not impossible that Ultron is hinted at in this movie, either in a way relevant to the story, or just briefly shown jokingly (like Cap's shield in IM2). Maybe an after credit scene showing Pym working on something. Who knows.

wolverine2281 02-19-2013 05:24 PM

Yes Iron Patriot is Norman Osborne as stated on the back of the package (just like the MU) and the Movie Version is different. And who is Robbie?

I seriously doubt we won't get a ML Mandarin figure. It just likely won't be a build a figure wave. Chances are we may even get a Pepper Pots comic "Rescue" armor after the first BAF wave is complete. Wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard and Whirlwind find there way to the pegs. Hasbro has to save some news for SDCC this year. Consider his long Iron Man 2 figures were on pegs and there's plenty of potential life for this line.

Also, I wouldn't factor in what some other companies did or didn't do as opposed to asking the more relevant question of, "Has Hasbro ever started a ML BAF wave and never released the remaining figures to complete it?". To my knowledge that answer is, No.

I would expect to be able to complete this wave by summer despite the fall 2013 claims.

Very true, but if their wave 3 variants (RedPool, Blade, Moonstar and White Dr. Doom) are any indication, stores will probably just see the "Iron Man Legends" part and think "well, shit, we already have a case of those, no need to order more!" even though they're different assortments. That's another reason why I'm nervous about these new waves of Marvel Legends, stacked on Wolverine Legends, stacked on Iron Man Legends. I'm nervous the stores will think they have too many legends, and the guy who reorders will just throw a sideways glance at the pegs, see the word "legends" and just think they're all the same.

Black Arbor 02-19-2013 09:32 PM

Maybe I'm unfounded in that thought, seeing as how the Iron Man 3 and Ultimate Spider-Man toys have clearly marked sections, so the Wolverine toys may have a separate section for their Legends too, but I've found it easier to be pessimistic about Hasbro these days.

quinten182 02-20-2013 07:20 AM

I think Robbie was incorrectly stated as Rhody?

Even this thought is irrelevant because those variants have nothing to do with a BAF. After speaking to a few Walmart managers who stopped carrying MU because they claimed poor sales and excess inventory (at their respective stores at least), however, they were all unanimously in agreement that movie lines sell better for them. The reason why we always see full pegs is because the always order a lot, so they always have inventory. However, that's also for MU. ML figures have been much more rare over the years in the movie lines and the general ML lines. So while retailers still order these, they also tend to be more of a collector item at this scale, and are still at the mercy of first come first serve collectors and/or scalpers.

I don't like that this is what they do as a collector, but from a revenue perspective it makes perfect sense to me. If I could only count the number of times I see clueless mother's on the phone telling whoever that they're in the toyline for so and so's birthday gift and they know he/she likes Batman or Spider-man and just start pulling random figures of the pegs, I might actually be able to come up with sales figures in a given month, lol, ok maybe not but that scensrio sure does happen quite often. I saw the same thing after the Avengers movie.
