News Post: The @Toyark DC Comics Instagram Contest is Live! - The Toyark - News

Toyark.com / @Toyark is happy to bring you it's first solo contest! The theme for this contest will be... DC Comics Battle Scenes! Your job is to take a picture featuring ONLY DC Comics characters' action figures battling it out. It can be anywhere from 2 to 100, up to you. Editing and graphics are allowed, but not required.

PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY!

1. You must follow @toyark on Instagram.

2. You must tag your photos #toyarkdc

3. You must ALSO post your entries on Toyark.com in the IG/DC Contest thread.

3. You may submit 7 entries total. No old photos. No reposts.

4. Entries must feature DC action figures, and only DC action figures.

5. Edits are allowed, not required.


THE PRIZES!

1. SDCC Mattel Man of Steel Movie Masters Superman vs Zod

2. SDCC DC Collectibles Green Lantern 4 pack

3. DC Collectibles 3.75 Injustice Grundy/Wonder Woman AND Cyborg/Harley Quinn

4. DC Collectibles New 52 Green Lantern Simon Baz 6 Inch

All prizes, except the Movie Master 2 pack, have been opened, photographed, and returned to package carefully. They will ship to you in package, but they have been opened.

These prizes are listed in a specific order here, BUT - the winners will be able to choose which ones they want. First Place chooses first, Second Place chooses second, and so on, until they are gone. So if the first place winner really wants Simon Baz, he can grab it, and leave Superman/Zod for the second place winner. And so on.

Contest starts on Thursday August 8th, 2013 at 12:01 AM Eastern.

Contest closes on Thursday August 15th, 2013 at 11:59 PM Eastern.

Make sure you post on Instagram as well, under hashtag #toyarkdc - your entries need to be in both places in order to be eligible to win.

Also, to embed here, you have to right click on actual image, and choose to "copy image location" or equivalent wording in your browser. Then paste that here inbetween the IMG tags.

Chalana87 - You are attempting to put a url to a full page on deviant art inside tags meant to stream an image. It won't show up. You have to get the full url to the actual image by itself, and then use that here.

Also posting this again for others who may have a problem later.

Just curious, does the image have to be embedded for it to count? Because otherwise I've just wasted a bit of time here. Either way, 6 posts are at least visible under the hashtag on Instagram, and I've posted the urls on the forum, so I should be square, correct?

Go to your own profile on Instagram.com via your regular computer/laptop/browser.

Find your image you want to show here.

Right click on the image, choose "view background image"

That should open the image in a new tab/window. The url in the browser bar should now be a direct link to your image.

Tony thank you for the help! I'm sorry but this was the first posting as a forum member, been on this site for years though and decided I wanted to try my hand :D

Cool Jake, no problem. We have IG folks who don't use forums, forum folks who don't use IG, and other folks who use neither. There's bound to be some technical issues with all that :).

Here is my entry! I always try to avoid the instagram filters and use practical lighting on my figures when shooting them

Just the figures themselves have to be DC or does that include even diorama pieces from other toys?
