Too bad that they are 4 inch scale though :(

Blanka 10-10-2013 11:16 AM

WE FINALLY get a Keaton Batman. We FINALLY get a Devito Penguin. We FINALLY get a Reeve Superman. We FINALLY get a Stamp Zod......

AND IT'S FOUR INCH, NOT MATCHING UP TO OUR PREVIOUS MOVIE MASTERS.

SCREW YOU, MATTEL.

Batman 10-10-2013 11:28 AM

Well I'll be buying at least 3 Catwoman, 3 Penguin, 4 Bruce Wayne Batman and maybe 6 Batman figures lol. Just to start.

ScarletSpiderXX 10-10-2013 11:44 AM

Wow these are awesome, I'm going to get.....oh wait there four inches and probably going to cost like 10 bucks each; PASS!!!!!

Poison Shadow 10-10-2013 11:59 AM

Okay, Mattel's Multiverse has officially won me over. Keaton Bats, Devito Penguin, Reeve Superman... fantastic.

trebleshot 10-10-2013 12:11 PM

I'm actually impressed. Not sure if it's enough to get me to buy them, but it's a start. I might cave on Keaton and Reeve if I have the funds on me when/if I see them at the store. Maybe Stamp as well.

CMIII 10-10-2013 12:35 PM

I see nothing worthy of my money

BEAM 10-10-2013 01:08 PM

I'm down for all of them. I hate that they appear to have no knee articulation. Otherwise, color me impressed.

C.I.A.D. 10-10-2013 01:49 PM

Hey everyone, we've just added even more images to the gallery. There's now images of every character shown, including the bat mobile.

You can check the gallery out here - Mattel's DC Multiverse Display Gallery

GeekSummit 10-10-2013 01:51 PM

My original offer still stands... I only hope that these 4" versions are bait for what wouldgo to a 6" scale for some platform... Damn you Mattel...

6 inch figures are always getting the good shit. The one time 4 inch gets something neat it's a bad thing? Especially when it comes to DC, 4 inch gets the shaft more often than not.

GeekSummit 10-10-2013 01:58 PM

See how a REAL Reeve Superman Movie Masters is made.

agreed.

how many versions of these characters have been produced in larger scale?, something like 800 trillion billion.

Specter 10-10-2013 02:28 PM

Guys 4 inch is great it leaves the possibility of

Ok the bat ski boat is a stretch but I would say the Batwing and Batmobile have a good chace if these do well.

What would have been hilarious is if Keaton was given no neck articulation. Mattel would have had the perfect excuse!

"Uh, we uhm... we were just trying to be authentic! Yeah, that's it!"

Dragasses 10-10-2013 02:43 PM

I just noticed batman/joker surfers.

that's absurd. and kind of hawesome.

Blanka 10-10-2013 02:53 PM

Hey, if the production samples turn out to be as good as these, I will shut my mouth. But they won't, so I won't.

Ninjinister 10-10-2013 03:05 PM

In a perfect world, we'd all get exactly what we want. And while I don't disapprove of being disappointed with not getting something you want (like I did with the ASM2 figures), to advocate that something you don't want, doesn't get made in favor for something that you do, is just selfish.

If they announced an end to all 6" figures in favor of 4", I would side with those wishing restoration of the 6" line, even though I don't give a toss about collecting them outside of GL.

Optimus Neeson 10-10-2013 03:28 PM

This is very good news, but I will wait until they make Batman from Batman Returns. That's the figure I've wanted pretty much my whole life (with the exception of the 4 movie turtles that are being developed by Playmates).

I don't mind the scale or the potential high price for 2 reasons:
1. The scale fits perfectly with my GI Joes. So he won't look out of place on my shelf full of 3.75 inch figures.
2. I can spare the high price because I only want 1 Batman from Batman Returns. I won't be bleeding money into this line.

abnuggler 10-10-2013 04:04 PM

Those movie based figures look very good, to bad they are 4" scale (I dont collect 3.75" figures and dont plan to start now), I would have loved them if they were 6" scale, Zod would have gone great with my Superman 6" figures Collection, Now Im really glad y spent my money on both Hot Toys Reeves Sups and Keaton Batman, (I know these are 12" and there isnt any comparison but rather have a larger scale than a smaller figure). Too bad (I wont be picking these up) but great job anyway, and 3.75" collectors rejoice

Enigma2K2 10-10-2013 06:15 PM

Dear DC... I said SIX INCH CHRIS REEVE, not FOUR INCH!

I might get it anyway, but sure as hell NOT because I'm a fan of the 4 inch figures.

zim 10-10-2013 06:25 PM

Movie figs looking good so far. But i hope they give us joker and robin from the 89 movies. I'd also like batgirl and poison ivy from the same movie series.

Knowing mattel they will leave this collection unfinished as they always do. Hopefully series 3 is comics and they do the 7 main members of JL new 52, batman beyond,, hawkgirl and martian manhunter. Personally though if they do a comic series i rather it be a matty sub, heck i'd start with movie series.

Mattel if your minions are on here that would be a good idea. Even if the item sellls at retail, i'd still welcome a sub starting with the movie series. Saves me dealing with scalpers and hunting.
