It's too bad he doesn't have toes, or the ability to lean over. This is almost a tolerable design.

Hum, a 24 inch Godzilla figure and Lego makes mini figures with a panicked look on their face. Oh that's almost too good of a mix to pass up.

While I'm still leaning towards older Godzilla designs more than the new look if the new film is good then this might be a must get.

he looks good but if his neck was little longer it looks he almost has no neck its shrunk down so much almost cant tell compared to original same wih feet still extreamly excited about this version

wow.. the lack of real feet really bothers me.. it honestly looks like a case of change just to change rather than there being some logical reason.. they just really don't fit.. it's a shame, the rest of the thing looks pretty neat.. the feet, or lack there of, just give it a bad look.

This is what happens when Cartman merges with Godzilla...you get fatzilla!!! Now "screw you guys", I'm going back to Tokyo!

Optimus Neeson 01-27-2014 08:02 AM

I just want to clarify something, even though nobody cares: I like this design, but I don't like it for a big budget, high-quality CG spectacle. I'd like to see this design as a Toho costume, but for a CG design, I would expect it to look more like a dinosaur and less like an upright human waddling around. (He does waddle; you can see it in the Godzilla Encounter video leaked from Comic Con)

Crap, is this what the Movie Godzilla is gunna look like?

Agree completely - this is about half of a good design and just looks…incomplete. I do like the overall feeling of power, but the lack of feet is a huge annoyance (and, I might add, completely impractical for a creature that spends a good deal of time swimming about in the ocean), and the stumpy, skimpy dorsal fins are irritating as hell. If it works well on screen I can somewhat forgive the design shortcomings, but it could have been so much more; I dearly wish they had brought in Yuji Sakai as either lead designer or design consultant on this, as his sculpting talent, artistic sense, and overall knowledge of the big fella is second to none. Fingers crossed the film redeems this!
