Mason-on-a-cycle set kinda bums me out a bit as I bought the Humvee set, but its just a minor annoyance. I now want every one of these COD sets, especially the Blackhawk(Ghost!), CLAW, and APC(Hudson!) sets.

I see myself getting 2 of the kick-ass Ghillie(who would be Macmillan & Price in Pripyat) & Bomb Disposal(Juggernaut Price & Yuri) suit figure sets, when they come out.

Optimus Neeson 02-17-2014 09:04 AM

Are you fffffking kidding me with the astronauts!?!?!? Those a ffffking bad @$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeeeeezus....

AAAAAANNNNDDD they updated the Halo toys with the new CoD articulation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally a toy company that listens to reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*faints*

Mega-Bloks really moved from Lego-wannabee to their own thing in the last few years.
Their minifigs are very good & the sets are excellently designed.
They have some great licenses & are using them good.
Still not as good as Lego, but at least M-B is trying his own way.

CrockAlley 02-17-2014 12:36 PM

Spongebob has switched sides! I wonder what happened there.

SuperBot 02-18-2014 01:20 PM

Dang! These are fantastic! Where were these when I was a kid? I would have bought them by the pound! Amazing...

When were they ever trying to be Lego?

I don't remember that, those astronauts look fantastic, you could use them for tons of things.

How is a Lego figure better that that one? Now if you like the aesthetic better that's different than them actually being better articulated figures.

It's odd they lost Marvel but then took one of Lego's licenses.

You read me wrong ...or maybe I wasn't clear enough, but all my comments were actually to praise M-B.
But yes M-B actually started as a Lego copycat,.

Mega Bloks started mimicking very specific Lego pieces after they lost the Spiderman license to Lego. Mega Bloks also started releasing some very Bionicle-ish sets back when Bionicle was new. Mega Bloks has been trying to copy Lego for a long time.

He's referring to the quality of the molding, the plastic, and the engineering that goes into designing the sets. Lego is still several years ahead of every building toy company in this regard.

The COD sets look amazing, especially the Ghillie and the German Sheppard.

This doesn't sound like praise to me. In some respects, I would say that MegaBloks is better than Lego. But I also think that all construction block companies have their pros and cons.

scarecrow 02-19-2014 03:20 PM

These are so amazing I could cry. Seriously spazzing out on these. The little dog is amazing, the juggernaut is amazing, the ghillie suit guy makes me want to jump for joy. And then, there is a cheaper way to attain a Mason figure, and on a motorcycle which I've been going they'd release anyway. I already have the first Mason but the paint on his eyes are messed up. I'm so stoked.

Saying Lego is better (i.m.o) is not giving M-B a bad review...

trebleshot 02-21-2014 09:43 AM

Well, that particular statement isn't giving it a positive review, either. By saying Lego is better, you are implying that MegaBloks is worse. That, to me, is not praise - it's criticism.

But I don't want to continue arguing semantics, so I'll let the matter drop.
