That's awesome. If the Raph figure is available on Playmates's website like the last two SDCC exclusives were, I'll have to try and scrounge up the cash for one. Though I imagine it'll sell out pretty fast.
Also makes me wonder if they're planning on releasing a set of Mirage-based Turtle figures in the retail line. The Leo they did two years ago had sculpting similar to the retail figures, and last year's Shredder was a mold later released at retail. Would be cool to see this sculpting used at retail. Since this is black & white, the retail version could be in color. |
This ! This is the sort of stuff that Playmates needs to continue doing! While I appreciate that they put forth the effort to release those nicely articulated Classics figures, I'd love to see more figures based on the comics.
Personally, I'd be ecstatic if Playmates were to bring us the other 3 original Turtles, as well as figures from the Image and current IDW eras. |
This would have been cool had it been all four turtles, but at one, it is utterly pointless.
